What if Edelman doesn't play?

You're talking in circles. I am glad we rested some guys to give them a better chance to be effective in the playoffs, period.
No I have been saying the same thing all along. The arguments you make up and attribute to me are going in circles.

I am concerned about the health of the team because so many players were out with injuries.
You seem to think all were healthy and just sat out for rest. That is not consistent with what had been going in with these players for the last month.

Somehow you are trying to argue that the fact they couldn't okay last week is a great indication they are healthy.
Can you link me to where bb or the players have said they only didn't play because they were resting and we didn't want to tire them out to get home field advantage?

The starting nickle corner is currently on IR. Darryl Roberts.
The late round draft pick who sat out a whole year? How many of those have worked out?

A "Randy Moss" type receiver is not the same as a "Brandon LaFell" type receiver.. you would be talking about complimenting Edelman rather than a 4th option..
Deep threat us the most overrated need ever mentioned.

You don't think resting is part of healing?

I want them to win it all.

You want Andy Johnson to win some arcane message board point.

Ok thanks for showing me there is no point having a conversation with you.

I'll have some of that too, if you don't mind.

This makes sense, but it makes less in the context in which I responded to "Upstater"..

Viewing any response as stand alone often does not make sense..

Julian Edelman: "I'm going to go full throttle regardless. If it goes, it goes."

BUT WHAT IF EDELMAN DOESN'T PLAY???!!!!

I don't think we see him right away ...
I think we see him if and when they will need him ...

It appears winning a message board point is what you are interested in.

I made a statement.
That statement is that the fact that players couldn't play in the game deciding the HFA that concerns me about how healthy they actually are.
You seem to want to argue that not being able to play is meaningless and health is not an issue.

Of course, since you want to just hope for the best that means only you want them to win, and anyone concerned about health must just not care. Wow.

You don't know how injured any of them were. You don't know if the coach was more concerned about resting nagging injuries so the team will be better for the playoffs.

You don't know.

That is exactly my point.

That is exactly my point.

You thought they needed to go all out in the Miami game. You said it indicated that they must have been so inkured they didn't have much of a chance. That was the point I was talking about.

Don't change that now that you see Edelman looking good and the whole team practicing. I think their post season prospects are greatly improved because they didn't kill themselves in the Miami game.

If you want to agree with me now, that's fine.

Well the o line better get it together. They are facing some good defensive players

You thought they needed to go all out in the Miami game.
When did I say that? See this is the problem, you are making up ideas that I never said and attributing them to me. I said they needed to play the players who were healthy enough to play, and I believe they did.

You said it indicated that they must have been so inkured they didn't have much of a chance. That was the point I was talking about.
They were not able to play. The concept that they could have played but were just held out because the game didn't matter is simply a figment of your imagination with no fact in existence to support it.

You seem to think that BB is afraid to play players and that playing = automatic injury. Why didn't we sit Brady as soon as we clinched a playoff berth? Why did Brady, Gronk and Amendola play?
The post season prospects are better if they are the 1 seed. The post season prospects are better if all are healthy. The chance that a player is healthy is lower if he is inactive due to injury, as many were in week 17. I think its safe to conclude those players were injured.

If you want to agree with me now, that's fine.
Why would I agree with you when you are wrong?
I agree that we do not know. That makes me right and you wrong.

The point was if they couldn't play that's a bad sign for the condition of the players.
You seem to be arguing the fact they didn't play is proof they were healthy which makes no sense at all.

Masslive article on Edelman's situation:

The answer is typically, no, it won't break. But it's not always no. Laird doesn't like to let his high-level athletes in on this information. He tells them, "it's solid, it's healed, you're going to play" and often puts them in a device that prevents their foot from rolling to the outside. He doesn't tell them the numbers, because the numbers could get in their heads.

There's about a 10 percent rate of refracture, Laird said, usually occurring within the first few months to a year.
