Tannehill might not play Sunday

ajfeely beat the patriots while with the dolphins in december 2004. it cost the pats home field advantage in the playoffs.

Ya I know. I still am of the opinion he didn't beat the Pats that day. Brady throwing 4 INTs, 1 when they were trying to run out the game with less than 2 minutes left that set the lolphins up at the NE 21 is what beat the Pats that day.

Yeah, OK, Whatever. He put up 29 points, he was the winning QB.

isn't moore a decent backup???

tanne sit out. no point in risking further injury

ajfeely beat the patriots while with the dolphins in december 2004. it cost the pats home field advantage in the playoffs and gave it to the steelers. i remember watching the game and i'm pretty sure feely was a backup for the fins. no one thought miami could beat the pats with Feely at QB.

It did not cost them HFA. Steelers went 15-1 AND had the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Another one. OK What ever. the patriots HAD to play the steelers in PITTSBURGH.

i'd rather play the devil i know who Sucks than the devil i don't know who wants to prove himself against the world champs.

He'll start to keep his stat thing going.

IIRC he's done well against our D in the past (Matt Moore that is). Would much rather have Tannehill playing - better the devil you know.

FWIW, Moore has played against New England twice in his career.

12-13-2009: 15-30, 197 yds, 1 td, 0 int, L 20-10
12-24-2011: 16-32, 281 yds, 3 td, 1 int, L 27-24

TOTAL: 31-62 (50.0%), 478 yds, 4 td, 1 int, 90.7 rating

Not awful. Not great. Not terrible.

Wow, those numbers would get him a 98.9 QBR from ESPN, and that's better than anything Bradys ever done.

Count me in as someone who'd rather face Tannehill.

That said, I think we should win by 10-13 no matter what, although I hope it's not quite that close.

Feeley threw for just 198 yards and 1 TD.

Brady's 4 picks had a lot more to do with the Patriots losing than did Feeley.

I'd rather face Moore. But either guy is capable of having a good game against the Pats.

Heh. That QBR stat by ESPN is utterly worthless.

I want no part of Matt Moore in this game!

AJ Feely is constantly referenced on this board. How many bad QBs/backups have we faced over the years? Every team is going to lose some games, if not a lot of games, to crappy quarterbacks. It is such a fallacy to think the Patriots are more likely to lose facing a weaker, more unknown QB simply because it's possible and has happened before. They have certainly lost a lot more games to good and elite quarterbacks and quite a few to mediocre ones. The fact that Feely is referenced so often goes to show it doesn't happen much, so we remember the times when a scrub takes us out...and Deus Irae just posted the unspectacular stats from Feely in that game.

On the other hand, I possibly agree that Tannehill is playing so badly/has lost the team, that he might be more ineffective than Moore right now...but that is beyond the point of people constantly referencing AJ Feely like the norm is giving up 400 yards and 5 TDs to a scrub.

A bag of rocks could play QB and i MAY be more scared

But hopefully Tanehill plays
