I can't watch the whole game, but I'll leave my thoughts so far.
- There aren't many areas that weren't bit by the injury bug. Except for Easly, the DL is pretty much intact, so I have a hard time letting go of how soft our Run D has been so far. We have both Collins and HT on the field. They might not be 100%, still almost 6 yards average per run is outrageous.
- And I don't think it's fair to cop out of this critcism by saying we were focusing on the air game. Thompkins and Powell have been killing us this half. We are being outcoached on defense
--On offense, however, it's hard for anyone to judge. We are banged up to the point that is a testment to Brady, BB and McDaniels that we are able to secure HFA this season. Take the Ravens, before Flacco went down. A couple of his household names got injuried, they were fighting for the number one pick. We have an amazing coaching staff and players.
-Brady misses Edelman and Amendola. I said before, but I'll repeat. I don't know if releasing Hankerson was a good move, even if he was a Vertical-threat type of receiver and not a slot. Harper is clearly not good enough yet (don't know if he will ever be). I don't even know if he was on the field this whole half.
-Jackson saw limited action, but I liked it.He could be as good as Blount was this season if not for...
-The o-line is in shambles. I can't criticize the playcall because you do need to protect Brady. Those guys are all rookies or reserves, minus Stork, and they are facing a great D. My doubts are much more severe. Can we we win the Superbowl with Waddle and Cannon at T, plus the whole carrousel of Jackson, Kline and Mason? I will be honest and say that I am scarred to know the right answer.
That's it, good luck to us, hopefully not anymore injuries today. I am not predicting the score, but I am grateful to still be the prime contender for HFA next week, no matter the results of today's game
