laughable half. vanilla defense

vanilla play calling. dont blame them, we dont have the players. so much for the "but kellen moore lit this defense up " yea but at least he had a decent line. our line is **** plain and simple.

take gronk and brady out now BB. use them next week

People here are pissed that the team doesn't want to try and put points on the board before haftime with 1:57 and two time outs. The last 15 years has no bearing on me being pissed about that
Well the last 15 yrs should tell you that the pats do dont that so it must be really a tight situation with injury and players to make BB do that. Give them a benefit of doubt. They know WTF they are doing.

I never seen bill take this pssy approach

We got a huge running first down.

The Patriots were set on running it 3 times but they didn't expect to get that first down.

This is ****ified football, let's call it what it is. There was no point in deferring if you are going to give up 2 minutes with two timeouts. That was laughable. Kneel the damn ball if that's the case

I will let BB decide that. And he and this team has enough balls to know what to do. There is a half left to play.

+1 :D

That was the TD play. But clearly you didn't watch the PREVIOUS passing play where they performed a pick. The player going around wasn't the player being picked. It was the one underneath who was contacted beyond 1 yard past the LOS. So, do everyone a favor and stow your crap and learn the rules.
They did it on BOTH plays you ****ing jabroni. **** it was even more obvious on the previous one. Maybe we're talking about different plays. I saw two instances (the TD and I think the 3rd down conversion) where in BOTH cases the defender just ran around the WR instead of just trucking through his ass.

Nobody feels like playing today, with 2 minutes left down by 7 after getting a first down," Man, let me just go to half time.

He's getting cute. Miami won't be easy pickings even if they suck

it will be their SB. plus, it's always tough playing in miami late in the season...
who knows which players will be available. if it's the same as today, then it'll be another grinder

brady has 60 yards passing lol

I can't watch the whole game, but I'll leave my thoughts so far.

- There aren't many areas that weren't bit by the injury bug. Except for Easly, the DL is pretty much intact, so I have a hard time letting go of how soft our Run D has been so far. We have both Collins and HT on the field. They might not be 100%, still almost 6 yards average per run is outrageous.
- And I don't think it's fair to cop out of this critcism by saying we were focusing on the air game. Thompkins and Powell have been killing us this half. We are being outcoached on defense

--On offense, however, it's hard for anyone to judge. We are banged up to the point that is a testment to Brady, BB and McDaniels that we are able to secure HFA this season. Take the Ravens, before Flacco went down. A couple of his household names got injuried, they were fighting for the number one pick. We have an amazing coaching staff and players.
-Brady misses Edelman and Amendola. I said before, but I'll repeat. I don't know if releasing Hankerson was a good move, even if he was a Vertical-threat type of receiver and not a slot. Harper is clearly not good enough yet (don't know if he will ever be). I don't even know if he was on the field this whole half.
-Jackson saw limited action, but I liked it.He could be as good as Blount was this season if not for...
-The o-line is in shambles. I can't criticize the playcall because you do need to protect Brady. Those guys are all rookies or reserves, minus Stork, and they are facing a great D. My doubts are much more severe. Can we we win the Superbowl with Waddle and Cannon at T, plus the whole carrousel of Jackson, Kline and Mason? I will be honest and say that I am scarred to know the right answer.

That's it, good luck to us, hopefully not anymore injuries today. I am not predicting the score, but I am grateful to still be the prime contender for HFA next week, no matter the results of today's game

I think it's a recognition of the reality that four of the half-dozen most important patriots players on offense are out with injuries.

It calls for a more measured approach when one of the injuries happens in the game.

If you are going to do that, then why bother playing the game. Just call up the league and say "We forfeit" and don't show up.

Pull Brady and put Jimmy G in. Let him see what he can do..

Just put all the back-ups in at every position and don't bother punting..

When you get a nice 12 yard run up the gut on first down why not change the plan?

It's not strange. Most of our offensive weapons are out.
Yeah but you have to play the second half still. Unless they're that worried about a quick three and out.

We got Gronk. We got White. We got Brady pulling the trigger.

No team does this. Ever. Even when they're banged up. No team does this.

LOL!! You have a tremendous sense of humor.

we play to win the game. that was not a winning football. 2 min left with 2 time outs with the GOAT, we had to at least get 3.

i'm really really confused with the decision. i need to hear BB's explanation.

You're better than this post usually, so I'll leave it alone

Deferring has nothing to do with scoring at the end of the first half.

But the whole philosophy of it is derived from possibly scoring late and scoring when you get the ball at the beginning of the 2nd half therefore taking advantage of a swing in points.
