Edelman back at practice

Zolak said a week after his surgery that his sources said he would be back at the shorter end of the 6-8 weeks. I expect him to miss this and next week's game (although history would say his return today would mean he would be back next week) and then played on a pitch count vs. the Jets and Dolphins to get him game ready for the playoffs.

I guess if you can dance you can play...

Practice this week and next week, and he could very well be ready for the Jets game in two weeks.

If you are saying it doesn't mean much toward Jules playing Sunday then you are quite correct. If you are saying it doesn't mean much outside of that then you are a bit out in left field. A return to practice is almost a guarantee he will return to the field before the end of the season. How does that not mean much when some estimates said he may not be ready until the AFCCG?

I honestly dont think you can assume anything from this other than he is getting some exercise. We have seen many times a player at practice yet they dont show up for a game for a long period of time. Dont get me wrong Im super happy to see this but I think assuming he plays in the regular season is about as good a wild ass guess as anyone could have.

I never, ever, believe anything from the media when it comes to player status.

Still gimpy so still a ways out..but good to see him progressing!

Great news as long as Pats win these next two games we are in great shape followed by the return of Gronk and JE11.

Haven't seen any of that in any of the Edelman threads. There's been a lot of reference to medical science and realism, but not any pessimism that I've noticed.

This development means that the surgery went well, there's not sign of infection (which is huge), and that it is healing on schedule. If it continues on this path, we see him by the playoffs. If the healing slows down, or he re-injures it (which is not uncommon with this injury), then we don't. Pretty simple.
Patience, brother, patience. They're on their way, believe me.

Gronk & then Edelman both back on the field...... I think I am getting a chubby.

Examples? I'll concede the point if that truly is the case, however, my own recollection is if you return to practice on Thursday-ish it often means playing in the following week's game (and almost certainly the following week after that game).
But again if you have some 'many times they returned to practice and didn't play for a long time' examples then I'm listening.
