@Rapsheet The #Seahawks are releasing CB Cary Williams, source said. A big-money free agent.

Cary Williams signed a 3 year, $18,000,000 contract with the Seattle Seahawks, including a $3,500,000 signing bonus, $7,000,000 guaranteed

Good. Little s***.

Veteran CB depth is needed, but I could never bring myself to root for that little piece of ****. **** him.

He always played well against us I would be all over him...Good back-up who can start in a pinch. Williams is a far cry from Melvin!

He's been god awful this year.

Cary Williams reminds me of Bernard Pollard you hate em but you'll like em on your Team.

It's funny how a month or two ago, the cb position was the major need of this team, now it seems like I'd take a good:

-wr
-O-lineman
- even a rb over a cb now.....how much a month can change. lol

If they passed on Cortland Finnegan for low money, I can't see them putting a claim in for Williams and that contract.

Counterpoint: Cortland Finnegan is terrible.

But if a good team like the Seahawks has decided to cut a guy midseason whom they signed to a big money deal, there's definitely something wrong.

I agree. Once Coleman comes back I'm ok with our CB situation in the playoffs. It could always be better but as the season has gone it has developed into a solid group.

Very meh but ill trust the front office on this one.

How bad is melvin if the team opts to go three safeties instead of using him as the nickel back? Coleman can't get healed fast enough. and as the original post, screw cary williams

Melvin did come up with the onside kick that is worth something want to give him a chance before we let him go.

I was really hoping Melvin was going to help but he just hasn't flashed.

He sucks. Was nothing but a malcontent in Philly and probably the same in Seattle. Not worth the sniff.
