Pretty tall order for the Pats. This reminds me of that 49er game back in 94 when Philly blew out the 9ers 40-8. They still went on to crush the Chargers in the Super Bowl.
Just really bad calling and execution in 2 phases of the game. Plain and simple. Defense has played well enough considering being put on the spot with the onside kick. Just gave up their first true 7 points in the game.
Without Gronk, these pedestrian WR are all covered. Brady has nobody to throw to. They should have pounded Blount once they were up by 14. Instead they got cute and it killed them.
Next week against the Texans is what will determine our season. Hard to imagine this a couple weeks back. Will we bounce back from this meltdown or drop three straight?
Time to see what kind of team we are down in Houston.
O-Line isn't going to get fixed come playoff time and even bigger concern is this team is mentally weak, two weeks they've faced adversity and they've folded.
At this point it is good for the Pats to get their asses kicked. You can't eek this type of game out and get the full effect of how awful you played. The Denver game was close and should have gone to the Patriots. This is Eagles all the way.
It's never good to get your ass kicked in December when you're trying to get homefield through and a bye. This was an awful loss and there is no silver lining at all.
