He has been pretty solid this year. People are hating on him based on reputation more than what he has done on the field. Since he has taken over the starting role, he hasn't been a liability and in the last three games he has been solid. And he has been drawing opposing teams' #1 WR a decent amount too.
And who are they going to get who any better than he is?
We're all hoping that you're right about Ryan, but you may be taking it a bit overboard. Then again, maybe you're spot on and he is the pleasant surprise of the secondary from here on out. I just don't think we can take much from the DAL game due to their personnel and conservative scheme, and the past 2 weeks were adequate, but maybe not quite as good as you're suggesting?
He gave up 4/6 passes with safety help, and the only reason it wasn't 5/6 was because Marshall dropped the TD pass.
Either way, you're right to point out that he had an effective game. The only debate would be the gray area involved between adequate and good, that's all. That's probably something that will differ based on people's personal opinions.
