he got the nickname "Burndon" a few times..hes a decent player..he gets beat but hes better than James. seems injury prone. could be a few good nickel imo..a decent 2 if he gets it straight
cut him because they think they can do better with their 2 young CBs(Wilson and Jennings) ..having a higher salary made it worse

Thanks. Ultimately, I trust BB's opinion/evaluation of DBs, though he's obviously made the occassional Starks-size blunder.
I'm actually higher on Tory James than most. And a healthy Chad Scott has been servicable. But if BB thinks Herndon is an upgrade, then Herndon is an upgrade.
I just wouldn't expect much more FA action until the rooks are inked.
scott has been a reliable veteran back up, what would herndon bring that scott doesnt? or is this just another thread about any player that gets cut shoud we sign him?
I was actually thinking that today - I wonder if the Pats intranet has a message board where interns post names of guys who got cut and BB logs in once a week to post NO.

I never said that Tory was a great cb... in fact, I really don't think that he is that good at all. In his time here, I hope that he plays good. Obviously BB thinks different than me and you though.
Herndon would be a great pick up for TC to make the competition in the secondary that more intense. If he doesn't make it then when the inevitable happens during mideseason he could come in (if still available) and somewhat know the playbook.
