Jesus your right. We are down our starting left tackle, our back up tackle and starting right guard. Againts a very good Jets front. Everything should run smoothly.

Volmer > Solder

Fleming is some dropoff from Cannon, but not an big dropoff imo. But if Fleming instead of Cannon messes up the offense then there are deeper problems.

If Wendell is back this week then Mason not playing isnt that much of a hit. Wendell is better in pass pro than Mason at this point in Mason's career.

I hope they put Vollmer at LT. He looked fine against the Colts and hopefully that + a week of practice helps him be ready for the Jets d-line.

I'd be worried if they had Fleming protecting Brady's blindside.

Vollmer/Kline or Wendy/Andrews/Jackson or Wendy/Fleming is an unspectacular but very functional unit.

Its not like you have Jordan Deavy,Todd Rucci or Max Lane in there.

Ya, it is functional. And this is also a very, very good jets front. All I am saying is that, it is going to be a grind it out ugly type of game from the O.

Going to need the D to really step up Sunday.

Yes because Cannon and Mason are the driving force behind the offense.

Give me a f***ing break.

Mason has been the best run blocker for the Pats.. Cannon was to be our starting LT with Solder out long term. Now, the Pats are relying on Vollmer at LT and Fleming at RT and they have no experienced swing tackle or back-up tackle on the roster. Helps to think about things a bit..

Rookie Shaq Mason's going to have to be replaced by a guy who started for the Patriots for 19 games in last year's Super Bowl winning season? Be still my heart.

Making a big assumption that Wendell will be ready.. He wasn't last week..

They have Michael Williams, which is better than nothing.

With any luck Flowers will make a good next-man-up for Sheard. The DE depth this year is a relief after running Jones and Nink ragged last season.
It's more likely that Grissom is going to get Sheard's reps than Flowers, though Flowers may see some reps as well..

Do the nyj have anyone good out? They've had very few injuries right?

They have Michael Williams, which is better than nothing.

Why do people keep saying this? Williams hasn't taken a single rep for the Pats at OT. They've had him at TE exclusively.. He's an emergency at best.. I would think that you would understand this especially..

Their D line is downright frightening. But the good news is that this offense is not a 5-7 step drop offense.

I think Jules/DA and LaFell and maybe even Martin can beat their CB's...Yes.. I think Jules is quicker than Revis.

They'll clamp down the middle of the field on Gronk and blitz occasionally. Not sure if it;ll be 1/2 the time that they normally do.

This is where the screens to Lewis and occasional draws will help.

While the Jets Dline has been very good, their strength has been against the run. They've gotten pressure on the QB, but they haven't been anywhere near as dominant rushing the passer as some here seem to think.

Have to laugh at people who are literally scared right now because Marcus Cannon has been ruled out.

You just don't get it. Clearly.. People are more worried (not scared, there is a difference) about the fact that the Patriots do NOT have an experienced back-up behind Vollmer and Fleming right now. For either tackle position.. They are a Vollmer injury away from being in dire straights.. But yeah, blow it off as if it's a non-issue. Shows a lack of intelligence on your part..

What we have left is fine, especially if Wendell is ready.

It's the NEXT injury that is concerning, playing against one of the best D-lines in the league, with someone filling in for Vollmer or for Fleming.

It's not keep-you-up-all-night scary, but it does generate a little nausea thinking about it.

I think he is implying that this board was trashing Cannon a month ago and now they really need him based on the reasons you call out.

Yet they are #2 against the pass (186.6 ypg), #2 against the run (82.6 ypg) and #1 in scoring defense (15ppg)..

Not sure how you can say they haven't been nearly as dominant. Granted they have played only Cleveland, Indy, Philly, Washington and Miami with their lone loss coming against Philly.. But, none of those teams were as injured on their O-line as the Pats are.

I'm not saying gloom and doom, but I'm not pretending that everything is hunky dory and the Pats have no issues their like some people are.

Agreed, from day one the Pats have been working on and perfecting a style of offense that is designed to get the ball out quickly and protect a young and inexperienced o line. The one injury that I'm concerned about is Lewis - if he's healthy he has Jet Killer written all over him.
