Quote from a Vikes forum poster:

"the Vikings are only down by 7. This is not the worst half of Vikings football you have seen"

Btw, am I the only one that can't see the timeouts at the bottom?

That tube TV you are running is getting a bit old. My TV shows them fine :D

I am quickly changing my tune on what I thought of San Fran this year.

Actually my 10 year old tube TV died on me recently. I just picked up a flat screen. Probably my cable company or tv channel(TSN). I have it hooked up in HDMI so I don't think there's anything I could adjust?

Lol. Hmmmm. Did your try adjusting the format settings? Should be a button you can press to,cycle through them. You could be in zoom mode or something.

im pretty surprised how poorly the Viking are playing

He gets dragged to a Super Bowl by an amazing defense and then gets to sit back and pretend he knows what's he's talking about on the most watched sports network. Easy, lucky life.

FWIW, Dilfer defended the Pats post-Deflategate more than probably any other former player. He openly called out Ray Lewis on the air, pointedly telling him that the 2000 Ravens SB team was engaging in a whole lot of stuff that was worse than footballs being a fraction of a PSI light.

I don't like him as an announcer, but not because of a lack of knowledge. The guy was a notorious workaholic even by NFL QB standards. He just had virtually no talent. His physical gifts sucked, and he couldn't process the entire field in a fraction of a second like the great pocket passers can.

Similarly, I don't like him as an announcer because he seems to feel compelled to overexplain and/or oversell everything. His knowledge is on point though, I really liked where he dissected Kaepernick's improvement as a pocket passer earlier. If he could learn to be more selective about that, plus stop trying to oversell mundane moments in ****ty games, I think he would be a good announcer.

Basically, I think he's running into the same block as an announcer as he did as a player: he has no natural feel or talent for what he's doing. Which is a shame, because he's clearly put in the research and knows what he's talking about.

Sounds like you're using an aspect ratio that's stretching the imagine. There should be a setting on the TV you can adjust.

4:3 aspect ratio on a widescreen TV will oftentimes cut off the top and bottom of the screen.

Cable box is in 16:9. It's just a tiny bit that's being cut off at the bottom. I can see the score, time, down fine. I just checked the options and it's in the normal setting. the other settings only zoom in more or squeezes the picture to make it look like 4:3.(an odd setting) Must be the feed from the channel or cable company.

Man this game is exactly how many predicted, a big pile of poop, this matchup doesn't deserve a Monday Night, specially the first MNF.

Seattle x Rams
Lions x Chargers

Both better choices.

Man, the 49ers' FG team sucks, every PAT is going to be a harrowing experience from the looks of it.

Okay yeah it must be. That's a bit frustrating.

I don't think the MNF late game is really considered a prime draw, since most of the east coast is asleep right now.

If watching in HD, make sure cable box is set to an HD resolution. Also, some TV's allow you to manually adjust the horz and vert height. Check settings for that.
