The brace won't do much on a hit a la Wards. I think he's smarter than he used to be. Maybe not smarter per se, but more aware of who's around him, the angles, and how to move to protect himself.

I think it helps against that kind of impact.

Force is force. Unless it was steel and then you would worry about the ankle breaking. I dunno, I'm not a physicist but it I remember seeing somewhere it will help in some circumstance but if someone leads with a pad or helmet it won't do much.

Yea I wonder why, he's such an air head but a BEAST. Smart player too.

I don't think he's an extreme airhead. He's not articulate enough to fully keep up with the publicity he gets, but that's true of a lot of these guys. He's just louder and more visible about it than the others.

Edit: I just reviewed his claim not to have read a book since the 9th grade. He sounded like he was only half joking. Hmm ...

There is now a video out there from Tomlin's post game locker room. In what only can be described as a bizarre continuing of his loss due to 'cheating' theme, he played a video for his team to prove they were robbed of the win.

Came here to mention that. I am pretty sure he will be a team captain next year. He has grown a lot and really taking up a leadership position on the team. At this point I wonder if he wouldn't have busted on many other teams that don't run such a tight operation.
