Eagles have traded Matt Barkley to the Cardinals which presumably makes Logan Thomas available. Now consider:

Rob Gronkowski v (Logan Thomas)

6'6, 264 (6'6", 248)
10.75 hands (11' hands)

4.68 forty (4.61)
1.58 10 yd (1.63)
33.5 vert (35.5)
9'11" Broad (9'10")
7.18 3-cone (7.05)

We lusted after Thomas as a TE development project in the draft forum last year. Some of that is still there for me (note: I have no idea if he can catch or block, it's all about those measurable).

I was saying the same thing, make the kid a TE!!

But I don't think he is PS eligible, so that might be tough

If Barkley is getting traded, Tebow's back in the NFL.

If Lindley and Webb can start playoff games, ruin any chance their team had to compete and yet still find work, I can't see why anyone would complain about Tebow beating the Steelers in OT and still finding a place on a NFL roster.

Former Notre Dame TE Ben Koyack has been released by the Jaguars and Raiders LB Sio Moore has signalled in a tweet that he's leaving the Raiders (cut/trade?)

I was pretty high on Sio Moore the year he came out.

Shakim Phillips was cut from the Steelers as was Brian Mihalik from Philly for you BC fans out there.

It's a pipe dream at this point of the season but no harm in keeping the dream alive.

Logan Thomas IS practice squad eligible. There are two spots on the practice squad for players with two or fewer accrued seasons.

This team carried Jake Bequette as a TE conversion for a year, and they tried Alex Silvestro before that. Don't see signing Logan Thomas to the PS as a TE conversion as being all that far-fetched, given the measurables.

Jake Bequette only this offseason switched to TE.

BB should sign Mihalik and play him at TE. Gronk 6-6, Chandler 6-7 Mihalik 6-9.

When considering any potential Patriot pickups from players cut elsewhere, I'd keep the following two draft contact lists in mind from '14 and '15:

http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2015/02/2015-patriots-draft-contacts.html

For example, Justin Coleman who we signed today is on list one and Jimmy Staten who we worked out today (or recently) is on the '14 list.

One other name that could be worth considering is Cleveland's RB Terrance West who is apparently on the roster bubble there. he's a bigger RB that the Pats seem to like now (225lb) and was worked out by Mike Lombardi pre-draft which appears to be a promising pipeline.

Terrance West is on the bubble? I think he would do very well here.

He's like a Ridley
Yeah, I don't think he's necessarily exceptional in any one area but he hustles and seems to be good in many ways. I don't know where exactly he would fit on this roster though. Seems like they may already be planning to be heavy on RBs.
