Y'all do realize that best case scenario, Brady walks away with minimal punishment - but no exoneration. Even a judgement that takes Goodell to the woodshed will not eliminate the Wells report, those idiotic texts, and the missing phone. These are all more than enough to satiate F&M and their ilk as well as all the haters. This will be seen, or framed, as NFL had good intentions to catch those pesky Patriots as what everyone knew they were doing, but they just carried it too far and the Pats got off on a technicality.
Even with a perfectly worded judgement, it will still take immense public pressure to get the NFL to even consider the team penalties. Shades of Wells - a whole lot of major ifs have to be built up to get there.
I guess my point is that despite any good news recently, we all may have to accept at best no suspension, no exoneration, no first round pick next year, and no change in public perception of our team. The only other thing that seems plausible is maybe some changes to the front office (theirs, not ours), but owners might be placated with a few minor players thrown overboard and some changes to procedures - the main characters in this god awful play will get away with it, unfortunately.
