Who is the mystery backstabbing former Patriot?

Duane Starks is a good guess. This bum was scooted out of town on a rail. And mocked to this day.

O.K. I know we have all read countless articles and opinions about New England acquiring Randy Moss in the past 2 weeks but there seems to have been 1 specific player in general that was badmouthing this organization saying how its never really been a team thing and there were bad guys in the locker room, guys did not always get along and things were not so rosy as how the team was projected into the spotlight as a well organized quiet laden team.

I don't know why anyone would be surprised. I've never seen a company full of employees that all really get along. I couldn't imagine it with a bunch of alpha-male pro athletes. But, I'd be willing to bet they are more of a team (or at least were) and get along better than any other team in the NFL.

what abou Tyrone Poole??

This flurry of posting about something that never happened.

My money's on Bledsoe. A bitter person who hates the organization for
recognizing him for what he was - a mediocre quarterback at the end
of his long and less than illustrious career.

Could be Damien Woody. He's always been very media-friendly.

Joe Andruzzi is another possibility. I know he was pissed about not getting re-upped. Givens is obviously a candidate. But my money's on Woody.

Andruzzi wasn't pissed. He was disappointed. His FAMILY was pissed, but he wasn't.

My money is on David Patten, honestly. He's a guy who was around for all 3 of the SB's. Ty Law and Ted Johnson could be other possibilities, but my money is on Patten.

Dexter Reid..duh

I don't get why people would say David Givens. I don't think I ever heard him say anything negative about the organization or about anything in general. I don't think it was Milloy because he was only a Patriot for the first Super Bowl ring. Most people see the 03 and 04 teams as the teams with the perfect locker room and chemistry. I don't think it was Law because wasn't he willing to come back last off-season? I think it's a high profile player, because why would a writer go to some lame below average NFL player (cobbs, reid)? My bet is Vinatieri.

Most of those guys aren't credible enough or important enough to have media contacts.

Willie McGinnest is pretty likely though. Big talker, very important guy.

I do remember Law calling BB a liar a while back. How ever he did clear it up by saying it was all out of anger at the time and he meant no disrespect.

Who is Duane Thomas? - You don't mean Duane Starks do you?
LOL how old are you?

Duane Thomas, the gifted but eternally disgruntled running back (Corey had nothing on him) who the Cowboys traded to the Patriots in the early 70s (late 60s?). When he refused to get into a three-point stance in practice, they shipped his arse right back to Dallas.

I will go with Deion Branch who seems to have a underhanded personality
I am 100% sure Deion would never have said that. He seems like a good guy. His hold out was stupid but almost all the talk was by his agent. Plus he recomended Stallworth to come here.

Its problably Dexter Reid. Before or after the AFCCG, the scrub actually had the gall to bash the Pats on how they dont shell out the money to their players.

ted johnson.

If I recall, the article said he said this when he went to a new team. Johnson never went to a new team, ergo it can't be him???

He actually came to mind for me too. Beisel too

Starks and Beisel don't make sense either. Didn't the article imply it was someone who won rings here?

I'm leaning Chatham, Andruzzi, McGinest, Branch. By the way, this player didn't say it in a rude way, and is not automatically angry with the Pats.

It's highly unlikely that it was Andruzzi or McGinest since they both went to play with RAC in Cleveland and were specifically brought in to help teach the Patriot way. Players there would be looking up to them. Players like AV who went to a team that hated the Pats seems more likely to me.

For all we know it could have been a role player such as Klecko, Reid, Spires or even Hamilton who wasn't happy about losing his slot to Warren.

My money is on Leonard Myers however but he should only be mad at ebay for not fetching him enough coin for his SB ring.

Matt Chatham
