It was quite a suprise to everyone, no one saw that coming. But we later found out that the Dolphins coaching staff had Beck slightly high then Quinn on their board. They thought they could wait till the 2nd round to get Beck so they went that route. I trust what they did because Mueller has been great at evaluating QBs and Cameron has been one of the best QB coaches in football for a while.

Ginn will play WR too ya' know. He shreded all those high rated DBs in college and can run by just about any one. Ted will touch the ball 6-10 times a game, and can change the game everytime he sees the football.

First, I don't like the Ted Ginn pick at all for you. If Cam Cameron was so interested in upgrading the offense maybe he should have picked Olsen from from Miami or Marshawn Lynch. Ted Ginn is a dynamic punt returner and can be a decent threat at wide receiver. The Dolphins already have good wide receivers.

Picking up John Beck in the second round is a good pick. I watched him play against Boston College and he was a prolific passer that day.


For the Patriots I am happy with getting Meriweather. Based on what I am reading he is a very different player from Rodney Harrison. I don't think he is the replacement someday for him. I think he will play along side with him.

I am conflicted on Randy Moss. I never liked his antics. As a receiver though when he wants to play the sky is the limit. He sitiuation to me is similar to when the Patriots traded for Corey Dillon. I heard his conference call today and it sound like he is ecstatic to play with the Pats. It is a low risk high reward trade.

Aqua, maybe you can fill me in a little bit on Kareem Brown from Miami. Do you know anything about this player?

Finally, to everyone else on this board for the last time I am not Aqua. I am a Pats fan period!

The Dolphins had the number 9 pick, had a great shot to draft a stud impact player, had their QB of the future sitting there on a silver platter, and they reach for a guy who is basically a punt/ko returner. Brilliant. They take a guy who was slotted to go somewhere between 25 and 35 at #9; unreal.

See I still don't get the the whole idea that he isn't a very good WR. He burned the best DBs in this draft, Leon Hall and Aaron Ross could not handle him at all.

I love the Beck pick, he was the 2nd rated QB on the Dolphins board and will be our QB for a long time. He makes the NFL throws better than any one in college football did.

Meriweather is a good player, but I thought the Pats wern't about having character issue players. You guys picked up to huge red flags in terms of character and I wonder if they will blow up the lockerroom.

Well it's obvious that the Dolphins didn't think that highly of Quinn and a 22 other teams didn't either. They got the guy they wanted in the 2nd round so it allowed us to take our favoirte player at #9.

I'm assuming you've never seen Ginn play before because you wouldn't call him just a return man. He burned all the best corners in college football all year long. Ginn Jr. is a playmaker with blazing speed. He can go the distance every time he touches the ball whether it's on returns or catching the ball on offense.

Have you even seen his receiving stats from last year?

He had 59 catches for 781 yards and 9 TDs. (13.2 average) That's a big play waiting to happen on offense, know your facts before you talk.

Check all the experts mock drafts; the highest ANY of them had him going was 22. See Aqua, these guys make a friggin living off of this, I think they know a ****load more than you or I do, ok genius? Your team REACHED; do you know the meaning of the term?

Don't try to backpeddle on Quinn. The draft is all about filling needs, your team had a HUGE need at QB and passed on him, don't try to spin it by saying "They got the guy they wanted".....comical, how many times do you hear that on draft day, "We got the guy we wanted"......no ****, I thought you drafted a guy you DIDN'T want. The teams that drafted after you did not have a need at QB, get it? I've seen it happen before a million times; the team that has a glaring need passes on a guy, then he drops like a stone because the teams after that don't have a need at that position.

Okay, now that the spam is gone, I'll talk some football with yah.

First, you say the coaching staff hasn't been to the playoffs in years, well if you knew who Cam Cameron coached for last, it was the Chargers. I think they went 14-2 and had some pretty good players that Cameron developed. Ya' know, 2 pro bowl quarterbacks back to back, an all-pro tight end who had never played prior to the NFL, and a pretty good running back. Not to mention the offensive line he built with 6th rounders and undrafted free agents. (Okay, McNiel was a 2nd rounder, but the rest were late.)

Also, yes, they did have Beck higher. Don't tell me I'm wrong about them on this one. The Dolphins attempted to move into the 20's 3 differnt times to get Beck but no one would deal with them. Don't you think if they wanted Quinn that bad they would've taken him. LOL, what sense does that make.
