After thinking about this overnight, if he's stupid enough to choose the Jets after having a taste of what it's like to be in a class NFL organization, then good riddance.
The Patriots have won without him and will win without him again.
if he leaves ill thank him for #4 and wish him a healthy career. don't win that title without him. Can't blame him too much for wanting to go "home."

For a player approaching 30, it's all about the guaranteed money.

When you're 33 and your team is taking a cap hit, your salary doesn't matter. Ask Wilfork.

Understandable that Revis is looking at the guarantees.

My opinion is that he might be a bit soft and not the same type of competitor as a Brady or Dion or hell even a Sherman who took a deal that isn't as guaranteed as it looks to stay with a winning team. He got owned by Steve Smith against the Ravens and didn't even bother competing after the ref picked him for a half second in the Super Bowl.

Striving for true greatness and back to back rings might not be what drives him, he might just have wanted a single ring to validate his career and go back to NY where he can be the star and get to vacation in January. Although, I think this past year may have changed him.

I hope I'm wrong and that he resigns, he is a great player and I loved having him here for this past year and thank him for his contribution to last years team.

You are kidding right? I mean you have to be kidding!

Worst post of the year.

the more one player wants and gets, the less there is to go around to build a better team.
It's hypocritical for a player to want top dollar and to be on a great team. It really isn't that hard a concept to grasp.

Ohh we are in trouble now!!!! The Browns are in the Revis sweepstakes!!! Lol..... They can keep dreaming.

My confidence level right now is a 60% chance of us signing Revis. Every hour it drops 10%. By 4pm, I will have 0% confidence he is coming back.

Mike Golic today insisting that Revis is gone because the Pats wont give him the guaranteed money he wants, he doesn't know anything but he wants to act like he does

Pretty much par for the course.

Deus says he is returning. So that settles it for me.

Rap is about as trustworthy as you can get not good news

That is an interesting function. But I think he won't come back until he hears from other teams...so I don't think the probability falls much from now until 4pm. Or even now until tomorrow 4pm. He hears from other teams he still MAY come back if the other teams are losers and only offer him a few million more per year.
