Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

Good for the Browns. Dallas got a good deal too.

Re: Official 2007 Patriots Draft Thread

They haven't looked at many tackles. I'd go best value between Meachum and Meriweather.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

Good move for Cleveland. The Browns were lucky that Miami was stupid and there was no one with a pressing need at QB between 9 and this pick.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

Quinn won't be good in the NFL...from what Michigan dave said he gets all stressed out...although I guess McNabb also does.

Just another long period of bleakness for Cleveland...it never ends for that place.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

At least he won't get a Harrington type contract right? In case he flops.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

To Dallas: Cleveland's #2 pick, 1st round in 2008
To Cleveland: #22

Re: Official 2007 Patriots Draft Thread

Well, bye bye Charlie Frye...

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

Nice trade for Dallas. Wish we could have swung it.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

1st round will last 6 hours at this point. 2nd and third round are also 15 minutes a piece, IIRC. So we could be looking at 6AM for the finish.

They should be punished for taking their whole 15 minutes.

2nd round is 10 and 3rd+ is 5.

Congrats to Jerry Jones for getting a killing. He got Cleveland's first-round pick and their second this year for a #22. Fantastic value.

Now let's pick Harris after Kansas City takes a WR or Alan Branch.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

I'm happy for Quinn; he's joining the team that he always wanted to. It's a good story for them both (I hope).

damn..hell of a good deal first of all. #36 + next years first

i think Quinn is good..he'll show Miami

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

WOW! Dallas makes out nice with the Brown's 1st rounder next year.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

Cleveland is an early favorite for best draft.

Re: Official 2007 Patriots Draft Thread

Three names for Kansas City:
Joe Staley
Robert Meachem
Ben Grubbs

I'm going Robert Meachem WR Tenn

damn i wanted us to make that trade with cleveland. maybe Detriot or miami will be be scared to lose trent edwards and then the patriots can save the day!
Plus get some good value picks in the process of course.:rocker:

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

Dallas can still get a guy like Spencer at 36

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

Miami and Buffalo.

One wonders why Buffalo didn't place a call to trade up with Miami. Buffalo wanted Patrick Willis, and Miami could have definitely picked Ted Ginn at 12.

You have to wonder what these two teams are thinking.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

I don't believe all the BS that Quinn is going to fail. I think he's going to be successful. Its a matter of how successful.
