Shefter says Cleveland is now offering Dallas their #1 in 2008 and their #3 this year. Makes you wish Deion had snagged us that best case #22 Dallas is dangling.

Naah at least one of those players will last to #28. I'd rather have the high 2nd rounder and an extra 1st next year. I'm betting Beason lasts till the Browns 2nd round pick if he gets by the Colts.

Damn... Dallas cashed in before we could.

Meriweather wont make it to 28..theres Carolina(who screwed themselves a little since they need a Safety) and Eagles who want to replace Lewis or get a future replacement for dawkins

Sources all over saying the Chefs won't take Quinn. That would be really, really sweet. Hope the Cowboys pass on him. I could definitely go for Merriweather at 28, then Harris with a high 2nd from a trade and another first rounder for next year. That would be an awesome scenario.

Exactly. They drafted Brodie Croyle last year, and keep in mind they still have Trent Green on the roster.

Meachem is on the board for Dallas or KC. Same as Branch.

Maybe the pats get Harris at #28 and Meriweather in the early second and also pick up a #4 or so.

It's good that all the players I didn't want them to get are going.

I wonder if they take Branch though, they may think he's 'unique'...takes plays off? Well...if you weight about 330 you'd get tired too. Although I think Branch said he doesn't want to play NT int he NFL.

I'm not high on Beason, his functional strength really worries me. I'm not sure he can take on NFL caliber guards with any regular success.

1st round will last 6 hours at this point. 2nd and third round are also 15 minutes a piece, IIRC. So we could be looking at 6AM for the finish.

They should be punished for taking their whole 15 minutes.

Well, there goes Quinn. KC looks at a receiver or maybe Branch, which leaves us with our choice of Merriweather/Houston/Harris/Staley. Not too bad.
