Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

So..... If you're the Patriots and see Quinn falling, do you call the Browns and Lions to see what they are offering?

I'm sure the Browns and Lions are calling them! If either of those teams got it done and got Quinn, they would have landed 2 top 5 players this round which is good for them.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

I'm surprised that Hall and Branch have fallen as far as they have.

Absolutely. I'd take the Browns 2nd this year and 1st next year in a heartbeat for #24. Same goes for the Lions. Well unless Hall lasts to 24, then it's a nobrainer to take him.

Hell yeah. That's why I got so geeked when he dropped past the Dolphins. The Pats could make a killing trading one of those firsts if Quinn drops to that point to one of the teams drafting high in the second. For the 24, I'd ask for their next year's first, this year's second and another 3rd or 4th rounder this year, to see if anyone bites. Baltimore was dumb enough to bite on a trade like that a few years ago for Kyle Boller, and that worked out pretty well for the Pats.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

Weird thought, but what about Chicago taking Quinn?

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

My prediction is for NE to trade up to 21 to pick Hall ahead of the Cowboys at 22.

meh i rather Houston. I like my CBs fast enough to stick with guys like Steve Smith..Chad Johnson..and so on. Also like them real physical..Houstons got a nice jam and sticks to them

Re: Official 2007 Patriots Draft Thread

Horrid trade. It was likely Moss would still be on the board for their pick, so why trade up for him? Incidently, this means the fallowing players are all still on the board:

Meachem
Houston
Olsen
Griffin
Harris
Meriweather
Spencer
Bowe
Branch
Staley
Quinn
Grubbs
Posluszny
Blalock
Kalil
Ugoh
Charles Johnson
Aaron Ross

The Bengals take Leon Hall.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

I knew they were going to pick Hall.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

Hall; no surprise there.

Re: Official 2007 Patriots Draft Thread

Leon Hall made sense here.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

I hope Nelson is off the board before we're up.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

There goes Hall... Good chance that some combo of Houston/Ross/Nelson/Griffin/Merriweather is on the board at 24 at this point. This is shaping up nicely for the Pats.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

DAMN!!

OK, Aaron Ross it looks like will be a Pat

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 1st Round Discussion

KC takes Quinn...

I was thinking the same thing, terrific trade partner who keeps you in 5-year-contract range. Lucky spot for Quinn, too.

eh
Giants need secondary
Jacksonville can use a safety
Dallas can use a FS like Nelson or a young corner to start across Newman..KC can use a CB

we need help

i think Giants go defense

Jacksonville goes Safety
Dallas goes with Spencer

Re: Official 2007 Patriots Draft Thread
