Ed Sabol or HDTV

I'm 40. I still say HD.

You need to educate yourself about Ed Sabol. He founded NFL films and revolutionized (essentially invented) sports videography. It's not just about "old clips," it's about how we enjoy the NFL via shows like "Inside the NFL," "NFL Presents," "A Football Life," "NFL Sound EFX" and other Patriots-related videos.

I do not enjoy any of those shows. And I suspect someone else would have capitalized on different ways of showing fans the NFL. I need to educate myself ? You cannot discuss tastes. It's like saying "educate yourself about liver"... I can get all the education in the world - I will still hate liver. I hate NFL sound FX. I hate Inside the NFL. I know you guys love it - and that is more than fine.

I know where you're going when you die -- a room with low-def television showing "Inside the NFL" and "NFL Sound FX" on every channel and nothing to eat but liver. A large photo of Ed Sabol will be on the wall.

I'm probably at the Mendoza line of choosing ES or HD, but I'm going with ES. He made ALL of the games accessible, not just the home game.

And I'm old enough that I originally wrote "ES" as "ED". Do Not Want!

The Sabols are on NFL's Mount Rushmore. Their impact cannot be overstated. I liked the NFL even more begore HDTV so i would say it has had no impact on me personally.
