Heard it with me very own ears today on ESPN.....and I literally laughed out loud.

I believe the Super Bowl will be the Seahawks vs the Patriots and the Seahawks will be justifiable favorites.
The Hawks are the defending SB champs and are on a roll as they have beaten up just about every mediocre QB this league has to offer in recent weeks.
But double digit favorites??
Playing against Brady and the Patriots??
Playing on a neutral field in Arizona??
No way!!

Get back to your favorite sport Bob Ryan, the insufferably boring and borderline legitimate NBA.
Leave the big boy sports to us real fans.

If we kill the Colts (by 14+) and the Seahawks barely beat the Packers, I could see us being favored

I will love to be double digit underdog, can you imagine what BB will do with that? I can assure you the team will not come out flat like they did against the Giants in 07.

Good for the Seahawks. How much were the Rams favored by against the Pats?

Yes, after keeping the 7-8-1 Panthers in it until the last quarter, and now having to go up against one-legged potato Rodgers, who would ever want to face the battle hardened Seahawks?

Seahawks haven't played a real football game in months.

I'm all for being the underdog! There's no chance on God's green earth the Pats will be double digit underdogs if we're fortunate to get there!

WE ARE ON TO COLTS.

Besides, who says Hawks are beating Packers?

Seattle hasn't played any real competition since week # 6, when the Cowboys pushed them around in their own stadium. Totally untested team. Patriots offense would be such a shock to their system.

Look at their schedule, then consider their road to Arizona in January given Rodgers is hobbled and they have HFA

Not that I agree with this ridiculous prediction, but running QB teams have given our D problems repeatedly, with the exception of Luck who throws a bunch of picks. The Panthers, whether you agree with the win last year or not, still brought it to us. The 49ers with Kaep. Alex Smith and the Chiefs. Rodgers obviously. Even Geno Smith.

Our D is more built to stop Peyton's donkeys, who have a more traditional offense, than spread option offenses with running QB's. Their D is superior and can handle any type of offense. They face Rodgers regularly.

So yeah, I think you are somewhat underestimating the Seahawks, as much as this prediction is overrating them.

Well, since as Shaughnessy put it, all we've beaten is tomato cans, I guess that's what we'd deserve.

I've said the same about running quarterbacks against our D, but people judge teams based on the year before. It's stupid, but that's what they do. That's why so many expert geniuses are shocked the Broncos got punched in the mouth. They all still think Seattle is the 85' Bears and absolute world beating because they crushed their favorite fantasy team in the Superbowl in 2013

Patriots should have had them in their own stadium in 2012, and we were a much weaker team then outside Hernandez. Lost by 1 point. Should have won by 2 w/ not botching the end of the second half on Seattle's 10 with a suspect IG out the back of the endzone.

People overestimate Seattle.

Week 7 - Lost to Austin Davis and the Rams
Week 8 - Beat a struggling Carolina 13-9
Week 9 - Beat Oakland, rookie Derek Carr by 6 points (30-24)
Week 10 - Tied 17-17 with Giants going into 4th quarter (at home). Seattle then scored 21 unanswered.
Week 11 - Lost to Chiefs 24-7
Week 12 - Beat the almighty Drew Stanton lead Cardinals. 19-3
Week 13 - Beat the scary 49ers offense 19-3
Week 14 - Beat Mark Sanchez' Eagles 24-14
Week 15 - Beat 49ers 17-7 at home (game was pretty close)
Week 16 - Beat the Cardinals and a QB who doesn't even belong in the NFL (Ryan Lindley)
Week 17 - Beat the Rams. QB Shaun Hill is so bad that he tries to ground the ball and gets intercepted

Divisional game - Beat a 7-9 team that had no business being in the playoffs

We are definitely more battle tested

Yup.

Exactly.

There's a Colts team left we always destroy, an untested Seahawks team that hasn't played anybody, and a one dimensional passing Packer team that has an injured Quarterback.

This is basically the year we have to win a Superbowl.

Patriots easily the best team in football. Overcoming the Ravens might have been our season. No excuse to lose to any of the remaining teams.

My preference: Patriots vs. Packers
