NFL Division Round Playoff games

I think the beginning of the league's decline has begun this last year or two. The bad calls are ruining every good game.

Every game anymore, there's a panel of analysts discussing the "Blown" call. Dallas got robbed.

I'm not a cowboys fan, in fact I was kind of hoping for a green bay win.

But the cowboys just got robbed. Dez made the catch, clear control, transfers the ball to one hand and stretches it out. Wtf is a "football act" then? Some vague thing that can be made up on the spot? To suit whatever team the refs favor?

What a friggen joke. Goodell needs to get canned and we need a real overhaul with this officiating. It's like we're watching the WWE

Ugh, the Manning ball washing has crossed the pond - Sky just went to commercial break showing Peyton Manning with "My Hero" by the Foo Fighters playing over it.

Green Bay should be sick. They should demand Dallas go on to seattle. Two inexplicably bad calls both against the cowboys. To "lose" like that is sickening.

The worst part is the refs from this weekend's games are the ones that will be working the Super Bowl, so ouch!

I can only hope that Boger is not riffing the Denver game

I'm losing interest in an entertainment where very knowledgeable fans absolutely cannot tell if a play is a catch or not and have no way of deciding if a play is PI or not. The NFL has a serious problem.
Upon reflection, they probably could not care less as the controversy sparks interest and boosts ratings among the far more numerous casual viewers.
My problem is that of an informed fan. What am I informed about?

Hmm, by rule seems to have been a catch :

What about that makes you say it's a catch? He didn't complete the process, which it says right there in the rules..

Finally, the playoff show down we've all been waiting for.

Andrew Luck vrs Connor Barth

Colts and broncos are about as good as each other = much of a muchness.

I think the Pats, Seahawks and Packers are the three best teams in the NFL.

Cowboys got so screwed.

Thank you for posting this. However I disagree with your interpretation of the rule. Dez Bryant is going to the ground. I understand what he's trying to do and it's unfortunate but he's going to the ground. Because he's going to the ground Item 1 applies to Dez Bryant. The ball touches the ground and causes the ball to move before he regains control of the ball. It's a clear cut incomplete pass according to the rules.

I don't know I feel like going to the ground was part of him going through the process of the catch, there for I'm pretty sure he needs possession throughout which makes me think the right call was made because the ground clearly made the ball pop out

That would be a fumble. He had the ball cradled in his arm and lost in the "Process" , as Pereira called it, of lunging for the EZ

Taking 3 steps completes the process of the catch. He took three steps with it under his control. If anything its a fumble.
