Anyone Else Really Nervous?

I could easily say you guys were 3-2 in your last 5 games and only beat one team with a winning record, but I know better.

The Pats beat six teams with a winning record:

Cincy
Buffalo
Denver
Indy
Detroit
San Diego

Four of those six are playoff teams.

I agree no one knows I just want an explanation. If you re the Ravens OC how do you attack this D? GB scored 26 in GB. With Nelson, Lacy and Cobb. Ravens have nothing close to that trio. I am seriously curious what they do? Trick plays?
Lot of play action and deep pass attempts. They are going to target chung big time with daniels.

Depending on the depth of his route, they'll bracket Daniels w Collins/High tower.

So the plan is to run Forsett and throw to Owen Daniels? We better win by at least 10.

Plays happen, I think you'll see the Ravens spread you guys out with 4 wides and force your #3 and 4 Db's to cover our 3-4 receivers. We have two guys I hope play in Aiken and Campanaro, both have great hands and wheels, but are rookies. I don't think you'll see just both Smiths going out for passes. Plus alot of bunch formations with rubs. Kubiak has a big play book to work with and I don't think you will see a conventional Ravens offense for the entire game.

Finally a logical answer.

Well, its finally game day, hopefully Tom's and Gronk's pillows were lumpy and they couldn't find the cool side, Lol. A lot of good points were made by you guys, You are the favorites, which you should be, but I have faith in my team. One thing I hate that the Ravens do is defer to the second half. They do it all the time, but give up points on the opening possession, then go three and out. Field position is going to play a big roles as usual. Any change in weather reports?

And at least three of those teams have better defenses

I still don't know if Monroe is playing or not. if he does, they'll move Yanda back to guard which tightens up the middle. I think we need him there to help with Wilfork as he will be too much for Zuttah. Besides the obvious I want to see how our OL holds up under your fronts pressure. If Monroe doesn't play I think thats a problem for us as old man Harrison owned our LT last week.

The Ravens and Patriots have strengths - this game has the potential of being very interesting indeed.

Hoping Gronk decides to run over people on his way to the endzone.

I agree, but our D has been playing well since the SD game with changes at CB. I'm not taking anything away from the Pats, their the 1 seed for a reason, but we've been in this position before as a lower seed. As I said i won't be shocked if we win, or lose by 20. i think at the end of the day its on both QB's shoulders.

Yep against sub 500 teams other than Pittsburg...we shall see. Best D line in the league is the lions and the pats smoked them. I have no idea what will happen today and won't be surprised by anything but while folks might say these things don't matter they most certainly do. If the Pats o line plays like they did in the last two games then it will be difficult but if they play like they did against the lions and Denver that's a different story. Plus the Pats defense is better than it has been in 10 years.

I'm surprised that the media hasn't run with the story line of "Best Patriots team since 2007 and that team almost lost to the 5 win Ravens! The Ravens know how to win against New England!!"
I'm surprised you still post here

I expect the ravens to run T Smith on 9's alot to pull your safety over then try to work the middle with the tight ends. He'll play decoy and of course 2-3 bombs will get thrown his way at least. Same with J. Jones. Watch for M. Brown on 3rd down going across the middle, he's a big guy with great hands and is a chain mover. Gilmore is a poor, poor mans Gronk but has good hands also. Like Brady, if Joe has time, he will find an open man.

Flaccos last 5 playoff games his QB rating is like over 100...but that won't go on forever. We have the better QB and better weapons.

Three games were against terrible defenses, one against an overrated one that only went over 100 because of a fluke TD and one legitimately terrific performance. I'm also still unsure whether Boldin was actually the driving force of the Ravens passing offense in 2012, he certainly was in NE.

5 games is a solid sample size, but I need to see him do it against this defense before I'm ready to tip my cap.

You guys need to go back to the old school red jerseys also

Ha, wow, One legit performance? You can only play who's in front of you. If your doubting what Joe's done in the playoffs, you must really think Bradys horrible in the playoffs the past 5 years. At some point he's due for a poor outting, he's only human, but what he's done recently in the PO can't be denied.

Yes. One. Doesn't mean he's been bad, just means he hasn't exactly been winning on his own. As I also said, Boldin was out of his mind in 2012, not only making plays but saving Joe's bacon after a terrible throw on numerous occasions.

Brady has been lousy several times in the past five years. 2009 wasn't his fault, but he was part of the problem in 2010 and 2011. 2012 was all about the receivers dropping first downs, but Tom himself screwed the pooch down the stretch on what should have been a TD drive at the end of the first half. Brady wasn't great last year, but that team was incredibly beat up. That is a 5-11 season for most teams, the fact that NE got to the AFCCG is a credit to them, not a detriment.

Was more excited all week, still am but nerves kicked in this morning.

If the Patriots play a clean game (no turnovers) and give it their best, and lose, then you have to accept that the Ravens are the better team, this day.

I am rooting for the Patriots to win and marching to the superbowl.
