Belichick has never said -or even hinted- that he feels anyone is Brady's replacement.

Seriously, in ALL THE YEARS we have been able to watch BB operate have you EVER heard him talk in public about someone's replacement?

Are you actually going to base you view on all the juicy nuggets Bill Belichick likes to give out to the public?

In the 90's we had a HC named Carroll who did things like that. Forgot whatever became of him.

Please name or cite one piece of evidence that reveals that Belichick believes JAG is Brady's replacement.
If you cannot, why are we arguing that Belichick believes JAG is Brady's replacement?

belichick doesn't divulge one scintilla of what he is thinking about a player's replacement.

And for the SECOND TIME - - where have I claimed Garropolo is going to be the replacement? It could be someone else someday. I'm not the one claiming certitude - - you are. I say the door is open and the possibilities are out there. Nothing can be ruled out. And this new renegotiated contract has unlocked the door further for both parties.

Does it mean Jimmy G is starting tomorrow at 4:35pm? Not unless Brady slips and falls down his steps outside his apartment tomorrow morning.

Let me try one last time here.

If someone is going to argue that Belichick believes someone is Brady's replacement, the BURDEN OF PROOF lies with that person. It isn't up to me to prove that Belichick doesn't believe that, in the complete absence of evidence that he does.

Belichick has never said that JAG is Brady's replacement.

Belichick has never hinted that JAG is Brady's replacement.

I'm not going to speculate on what Belichick thinks. Until he says so, JAG is just a rookie back up quarterback, like Cassell, like Hoyer, like Mallett, here to play the role that he is in.

Brady doesn't currently have a successor because we aren't currently moving on from him.

If you had bothered to use it you would have noticed that my post was -- gasp! -- in reply to Ivan's where he was claiming he couldn't see how NE would ever part with Brady while Brady will still good, and I was pointing out a hypothetical but certainly not farfetched scenario where the Patriots would be forced to make a tough choice about what to do, where a very reasonable choice would be to cut or trade Brady.

You can now go back to your scheduled "I will put words in other peoples' mouths and then argue against my own strawmen" tirades that shmessy has already called you out for time and again in this thread.
