We're on to Baltimore

Side note: I believe Andrew Luck is now better than Peyton Manning. I look forward to see how Peyton proves me right.

C'mon Pats. If you guys are championship material... you're gonna have to prove it!
Problem is Andrew Luck has a crap team around him. The Colts suck. Put Andrew Luck on the Denver Broncos and they'd be much more a threat to win the Super Bowl.

The Steelers should have lost worse than they did if Torrey Smith doesn't blunder horribly on the last pass in the end zone where he failed to get his second foot down.

That is honestly the worst effort I can remember seeing as he had one complete full stride that he failed to touch down with.

I would say that 99 out of 100 times that is a TD, but that undersells it because it was worse than that.

More like 999 times out of 1000.

The Pats are 7 1/2 point picks in the opening Vegas Lines with the O/U at 49. Long range forecast is for 26 and clear at game time; I'd prefer sleet and snow and 10 degrees colder.

The best way to win the SB is to beat tough, determined opponents in tough games, so, in that sense, this is good for the Pats. No better way to show that you belong in the SB than beating the Ravens and Broncos on successive weekends.

I love how the ravens fans, and every other teams fans say "Get pressure on Brady and he'll struggle". Yea, and every other QB. I'll take my chances with that Brady guy.... And now for the weather : Increasing darkness towards evening.

Probably already asked in this thread, but...

The Ravens (aka: Dean Pees) had a very good game plan and with the exotic-blitzes, Ben was sacked 5 times.
Steelers OL is not great, but not bad, and the blitzes gave the Ravens the win.

We all know our OL is one of our weakest link. We need TomB to be upright to throw.

How (schemes? play-types? bubble-screens?) can the Patriots counter-act the blitzes (exotic or not) ?
Rothlesburger was as much to blame as his D line. He repeatedly held the ball too long. Probably because no Bell no outlet

Ravens are a very good playoff team. As BillB said, does not matter what your regular season record is. Once playoffs starts, it is "zero-zero".

So, all he blowouts the Patriots had is meaningless, come Jan-1oth.

Wouldnt beating one of the 2 teams that finished ahead of them on their own division be a better way of showing you belong? Bmore is a 9-7 team that we should destroy.

Revis on Smith, Sr.
Browner on Smith

Stop the run early, defend against the attack of the balloons

Who covers Jacoby Jones? He is fast and a deep threat.

I'll give the Pats the benefit of the doubt but I'm not too confident. It will not be easy. I think our OL has regressed instead of improved since our mid season domination. They have their hands full and I'm not confident that they can handle the Ravensvdefensive front.

We are in for a long day, a bad draw. Hopefully we are up to the challenge.

Jump out to quick lead and make Flaco desperate
Easier said than done with the Pats offense. Jumping out to quick leads has been unheard of in recent weeks.

Maybe mother nature will give the Pats a hand.. Forecast is cold and possible snow.

Baltimore is a team that has a track record of coming into Foxboro and giving us a dog fight. two times they punched us in the mouth, winning comfortably. A third time they punched us in the mouth but we escaped with the win. We were better teams those years as well.

They just won a big road playoff game which has given them plenty of momentum to roll into Foxboro and give us a ball game. So yeah, I strongly doubt that we "destroy" the Ravens, especially when their defensive front can give our OL fits.

Flacco's also one who keeps cool. He's got a lot of confidence in his ability to lob up the deep ball. And just watching last night's game shows you why. His receivers know how to draw OPI on lousy throws.

Yea they have been hot garbage in the reg season, but Ladarius Webb looked damn good tonight against the best receiver in the game this year for long stretches. If I'm a Ravens fan I don't feel bad about the Webb/Lafell matchup

Who cares about Webb.......whoever......?

Gronk is the receiving threat in the NFL. These Brown, Megatron, Bryant media obsessions make zero sense. Gronk is the premier matchup gameplan piece on the board.

If they even have any hope of stopping him, they..............?????

I don't understand why folks don't see that the game in 2012 means nothing, neither team is remotely the same as back then. Pats defense is excellent, offense is very good also and Gronk is healthy. ravens offense can put years up but they are not the scoring juggernaut folks make them out to be ad their defense while good is not great like 2012, not even close. If the Pats can't beat them handily then they are in huge trouble the rest of the playoffs. The Ravens benefited from a team last night missing one of their the best offensive threats, sound familiar. That's not the Pats this year.

No one on that D...and no one in the NFL can cover Gronk unless you double him..then that leaves Edelman and Lafell 1 on 1
