Halftime Stats
Ravens 10, Steelers 9
Total Plays ----------- Steelers 38, Ravens 21
Time of Possession -- Steelers 20:55, Ravens 9:55
Considering there were no turnovers, no defensive or special team touchdowns, and no missed field goals it is amazing that Baltimore is winning. In a low scoring game like this, turnovers in the second half will be critical.
Red Zone -- Steelers 0/1, Ravens 1/2
Baltimore could actually be winning this game by eight points if they didn't settle for a field goal late, and held Pittsburgh in the last two minutes. Strange considering the following:
Total Yards --- Steelers 193, Ravens 123
Passing Yards - Steelers 165, Ravens 74
Roethlisberger: 18/24, 183 yards, 7.6 yards per pass, 96.4 passer rating
Joe Flacco: 5/11, 74 yards, 6.7 yards per pass, 68.0 passer rating
Big Ben was sacked three times, Flacco none.
With 75% of the passes being completed against the Baltimore secondary, Pittsburgh needs to just keep on passing the ball.
