Bell out for Steelers, will we see the Ravens?

While Baltimore MAY beat Pittsburgh, I still believe that the Steelers will be too fired-up to lose that game. True, the "On Any Given Saturday (Sunday)" rule applies, but I just am getting a bunch of vibes that Big Ben & Company will find a way to hold off Flacco and his dock workers.

For my money, I'd really rather that both were able to lose, but I think that there's a better chance for the Steelers to win and then go and beat Denver than for the Colts or Cincy to pull it off, though Cincy HAS done it once. We'll see.

Regardless of who New England sees, I expect the Patriots to beat them, advance to the AFCCG and then win that and win the Superbowl. That's my prognosis and I'm sticking to it.

Two Sundays ago the Ravens couldn't beat the Texans with Case Keanum as their QB. Three Sundays ago, Keanum was deer hunting as a street free agent.

I still think the Steelers win this game fairly decisively.

That is what the Ravens want you to think. lol

Yes, because whatever I think has any bearing on whether the Ravens beat the Steelers tomorrow and. if they do. whether can can beat the Pats next Saturday.

No matter who comes into Foxboro next Saturday, the Pats will not take them lightly. It doesn't mean I do.

Six of the last seven regular-season meetings between the Baltimore Ravens and the Steelers played in Pittsburgh have been decided by 3 points or less.

This will come down to the wire tomorrow night

Baltimore loses tomorrow. Period. Bell ran for 20 yds when they beat the ravens 43-23, going to be the same, Steelers win by 10 at least.

Good. Easiest ass-kicking. Ravens: never seen a #1 seed's fan base wee down its leg over the prospect of playing a #6 seed at home. Incomprehensible to me.

Yeah, kinda like the 2012 POs…and the 2009 POs...

While this IS a Divisional Game, and therefore kinda scary for no other reason than that, I believe the Steelers are the better football team, with or without Bell. The gameplan was never going to be to give Bell the rock 30 times anyway. The Ravens front 7 are still pretty tough to run on. Bell is a threat in the passing game out of the backfield, so we might miss that a little. But I feel like they don't NEED or expect a 100 yard rusher in this game. If Harris, Archer, and Tate can grind out a combined 70 yards or so, I think that will be enough.

This game is going to come down to our Defense and O-Line play. The Ratbirds can't cover our receivers and they know it. ESPECIALLY without the threat of Bell, I fully expect them to put the game in their defensive front's hands. They'll pin their ears back and come after Ben early and very often. Their best chance will be to try to disrupt the pocket and force Ben into making mistakes and possibly create a turnover. Our O-line has made great strides as the season progressed, and has become one of the better units in the league. But the Ravens pass rush can be ferocious when clicking on all cylinders.

Honestly, I could see the Steelers missing Bell's blitz pick-up ability more than anything this game, something he's vastly underrated in. Hopefully they've been hitting Harris hard in practice this week with it. We'll see how it shakes out. These games always have the feel that they could go either way, but the Steelers are the better football team right now. But as they say...."Any given Sunday" or Saturday, as the case may be.

The Steelers should win this one but somehow they managed to **** the bed against multiple weaker opponents this year.

I guess the Ravens will need a big plus in turnovers to walk away with a win.

The Ravens defense is better than it was in the SB Year. Guys like Lewis and Ed Reed were shells of their former selves

Keep in mind that Ed Reed and Ray Lewis were arguably the best to play their respective positions in NFL history. While I agree that Reed didn't have the range he used to and Lewis pretty much came off the field on passing downs, a drop-off in play from those two is still better than 80% of the players that played those positions in NFL history. Those two brought a tremendous amount of leadership and mental toughness that (I believe) is missing from the current BAL defense. We'll see how they do tonight. Their jobs will be much easier w/o Bell playing for sure!

They are usually close, but your stat can't be right considering that both games this year were decided by double digits.

No, we won't. The Steelers OL is playing very well right now. They'll give Ben time to sufficiently light up that secondary.

The Steelers' secondary sucks. Flacco will be throwing deep all game. The Steelers are 29th in passing TDs allowed and 27th in passing yards allowed. Opponents are averaging 7 yards per pass attempt.

Both teams have awful secondaries. Should be fun to watch.

I could see the steelers winning tonight and then beat denver the following week.
