Maybe I'm misremembering it, but wasn't it being a hip not the hamstring his excuse?

He has had chronic injuries to both the hip and hamstring, so I can understand why you may mix the 2 up.

When has Talib ever been the best CB in football for the first 8-10 weeks?

The one and only argument could be made for 2013, and even then he played strong for the first 6 games and then tailed off with injury concerns and mediocre play for the rest of the year.

He really resurrected his career here in N.England due to big game exposure, prime time national TV audiences, etc. He obviously parlayed that with some big game moments which helped to display his talent as well, although I still think he's overrated myself.

In his defense, his play was pretty strong for those 6 games though. Too bad he got hurt again in the biggest setting of the season 2 yrs in a row.
