Peyton,Pryton Peyton

And I hate to bring this up because I don't engage in the your franchise is horrible and my franchise is great nonsense, but since it's in discussion: Talib denies having a hip injury in New England, but rather a quad injury that Patriots reported as a hip injury. In addition, he claimed the Pats injury reports are bogus, which has been claimed by others as well.

If you're a big name free agent on the cusp of signing a big deal, why would you want to admit that a chronic injury popped up again in a contract year? Did you see his disgust and the way he tossed his helmet against the Saints when he came off the field? That body language tells you that this **** has happened before. Either way, the Pats were absolved from any perceived wrong doing. Please advance the conversation forward to Spygate.

He teabagged a female trainer. I'm not sure how that makes him a good dude in your book, but it doesn't make him one in mine.

Sorry, but things like this are a bit absurd. About 20 years ago........a female trainner at Tennessee "allegged" that Peyton mooned her. Not sure how that qualifies as teabagging. I've never even heard anywhere that any contact was made or any referrence to this supposed teabagging. Even if guilty, mooning a female 20 years ago while in college would make him a bad guy???? I don't understand this stuff. Seriously????

I don't think Sanders is going to be as good of a fit in your offense as Decker, to be honest. Ware on the other side of Von Miller has the potential to be pretty scary. You'll probably need those two to get after the quarterback after Talib goes down.

Kon, you normally post some good stuff, not always with Patriot glasses on. But you may be the 1st person I've heard that doesn't think Sanders is an upgrade to Decker. Decker ran great routes and had decent hands. However, it was no secret that physical DBs were his worst nightmare. Decker was on a milk cartoon after the superbowl. In every lose we had last season except vs you guys, the oppenents DBs were physical with our corners and the offense struggled. Sanders doesn't have that problem and is way more elusive than Decker. Decker picked up good YAC from Peyton hitting him when he's in open space, Sanders YAC comes from making people miss and blazing up field. Definite upgrade in my book and most others.

Peyton's arm is a noodle at this point in his career. Sanders has worked best when he's been able to use his speed to get downfield and track the ball in the air. Manning doesn't do that as well anymore. With Decker and Thomas, he would often get the ball out of his hands on a quick slant, hitch, or screen and let them gobble up YAC or he would put the ball in the air so one of them could make an athletic play and go up to get the wounded duck. Sanders does the former well. The latter? Not so much. To date, Decker is the better receiver and has been the better receiver. Sanders' stats will go up this year simply because of Manning and the attention that Welker, D. Thomas, and J. Thomas take away from him, but he's no upgrade over Decker.

You guys realize that there are millions of Patriots haters today biatching about how ESPN is up Brady's butt all day today with them broadcasting from Patriots camp.

I thought they were up the butts of Gronk and Revis ... (Or was that NFLN?)

Patriots haters will biatch about that too. Of course Jets fans will bring it the next level by asking why people are all over Revis' jock when he is clearly past his prime.

You may be standing alone on this one. Not many other people believe Deckers better. Many good teams needed WRs and not many but the lowly Jets made an offer. Peyton has never had a rocket arm but DT and Decker scored on quite a few deep passes this past season.

Only a Bronco fan would consider Sanders an upgrade over Decker. Decker has outproduced him, and the market dictated it as well.
Kind of incredulous of you to say Sanders was viewed as better because only one team paid Decker. Decker got 5 yrs 36 mill and 15 guaranteed. Sanders 3/15/6.
They really isn't much of an argument you can make for Sanders that isn't a Bronco blind homer argument.

It wasn't 'mooning' it was a despicable act.

Most people that have actually watched the two play football believe that Decker is the better WR. Broncos fans are the only ones that don't. The two moves you made that impress me the most are Ware and Ward. With Talib, it will be interesting to see whether or not he goes back to being the Tampa Talib now that he's away from Belichick. That will, of course, come before he injures his hip again and limps out of a playoff game. Sanders is decent, but not as good as Decker. Your pass rush should be pretty nasty, though (assuming health).

What's absurd is your post. He teabagged her, and teabagging isn't mooning:

Naughright's attorney says his client, doing her job, was crouching behind Manning to determine why he was having pain in one of his feet when "entirely unprovoked, Peyton Manning decided to pull down his shorts and sit on Dr. Naughright's head and face." Court documents add graphic body-part details, which we shall omit because you certainly can get the picture.

All right, you say, but this is Peyton Manning, the Boy Scout, and it's just another one of those he-said, she-said stories, right? Well, not exactly. Add another "he" to the equation — on her side. The court record includes a letter to Manning from former Tennessee cross country runner Malcolm Saxon, who Manning said was the intended target of the so-called mooning.

"Bro, you have tons of class," Saxon's letter says, "but you have shown no mercy or grace to this lady who was on her knees seeing if you had a stress fracture. ... You might as well maintain some dignity and admit to what happened. ... Your celebrity doesn't mean you can treat folks that way."

Denver has benefited from back to back cup cake schedules since acquiring pouty-face, and they've lost to the MAJORITY of good teams they've played in that time span.

This year they have a real schedule and I bet they get thumped. I don't expect Denver to be chasing the #1 seed and the media will sour on them fast enough.

I put that in the same category as people screaming the Earth is flat and the moon landing was faked. Actually I credit those more since they can link to "proof.":)

Eh, I know you're not inclined to take our word on this one or anything, but he had a chronically injured hip. It was pretty clear watching him, and each time that he went down he went down clutching that same hip on the ground and on the sideline after. It's possible that the Pats were lying, I suppose, but Talib has a while lot more incentive to lie than they do, and his explanation doesn't pass the eye or common sense test at all.

Same with Spikes, his complaint makes eve less sense. He was playing on one leg last year, and it was clear to all of us who watched him go from a notably agile linebacker to someone who basically couldn't change direction. I'd honestly be curious to hear him explain why his play degraded so badly if he *wasnt* injured like he claims.

Come to Patsfans.com to avoid the Peyton Manning discussion.

Gets discussion on Peyton Manning.

(I actually didn't come here to avoid Peyton Manning discussion as I enjoy all things football. Patriots>Peyton>Tebow>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Lebron discussion.

Their record will almost definitely be worse this year, but playing the NFCW will do that to you. If anything I could easily see them being 4-4 after week 9 and have the national media pound the "are the Broncos done?!?" storyline into the ground... Then they go 8-0 down the stretch and get a 2 seed.

The first half of their schedule just looks brutal right now; glad we have the NFCN

Sanders is better then Decker? News to me...

Bronco fans don't watch football. They only watch the Broncos. That's why they don't know anything about who is better or worse than who.

I occasionally look at Denver forums during the season or when something interesting is happening.
Most of them didn't even know who Talib was last year, and then suddenly started claiming he was better than Revis, who they also know nothing about.

Basically, if you're a Bronco, you're the best ever.

Most ignorant fan base ever.

Even more so than the Jets

All fanbases have people like that. This one is no different. They're called "over the top homers". Everything and everyone about their team > other team.
