Darrelle Revis Rumors and Speculation

I can't help but think back to when people would bash McCourty when we switched systems, saying great corners should be able to play in any system.

Those same haters have nothing to say about one of the great man corners being rendered obsolete by a different system.

Anyways, Revis the player is an intriguing option. Unfortunately, Revis the person is part of the equation. He will choose money over winning, and I don't want him anywhere near any of our young kids. He's known as MEvis for a reason. When the Bucs were winless, he still preferred them to playing for the Jets because he was getting paid more.

No thank you.

Its official

1 yr/12 million

He's a pat

Reason I believe we are actually pursuing Revis heavily: If we weren't interested in him at all, then what the heck are we doing with our nearly 18 million in cap space?

To sign 5-6 JAGS and leave some cap space.

Bill probably thinks he can get by with an Arrington-Dennard-Ryan-JAG McCourty-Harmon-A.Wilson-T.Wilson secondary.

Yeah? There are 31 other teams too.

Lemme ask you this: What the heck are the Jets doing with their OVER $42 million in cap space?

Life does not happen in a vacuum.

Per @AdamSchefter, CB Darrelle Revis and the Patriots have reached agreement on a 1-year, $12 million deal.

Very pleasant surprise.

One year is a bit weird (not complaining though).

Hell yes!!
Why just 1 year? Hope they fix that

Woooooooo baybayyyy!

My thinking exactly.....I hope this is a prove it deal and then we can sign him if he performs longer....If not then I hope they have a plan going forward at CB....

I like the one year deal it's a "prove to us your not going to be a money hungry B**ch and we'll hook you up"

I am willing to bet there is a handshake deal on the back of it or i don't see him taking one year
