:bored:.....

I am referring to post #30 in this thread, the poster said we would get the type of production we saw in week 1 from Amendola if he was healthy, 10 catches for 104 yards per games comes out to 160 catches and 1664 yards.

For the record, everyone was projecting Amendola to be the second coming of Welker and you know it. Read back through the offseason 2013 and the preseason threads and you will see. You yourself even stated you thought Amendola would outperform Welker. They both had injuries so that does not really give Amendola an excuse.

I just read post #30, and that isn't what Ken said at all. Yet again, you're making crap up to create an imaginary straw man for you to argue again. I'm starting to think that this is basically all that you do.

Also, I was here in the offseason 2013. I remember what was being posted. What 'everyone was projecting' is that Amendola is on par with Welker as a player when healthy (and maybe even more versatile to boot). I still believe this. The issue, as always, is that Amendola can't seem to stay healthy.

You know what I do not really understand is back in September you posted as if the injury was no big deal, and now all of a sudden it is the reason that Amendola underperformed.

Yet another swing and a miss. I said that once he came back, the groin injury shouldn't cause him to miss any more games (and I was correct). This doesn't mean that it was a minor injury and that he would come back at 100%. It means that once he's back, he's back, because there's no risk of further aggravating the injury once the groin muscle is fully torn. In other words, unlike you I actually understand the nature of the injury.

Seriously, this exchange pretty much sums up why you're a useless poster. You distort and misrepresent what other people have posted to fit your own agenda and fuel your weird little persecution complex. Which would be bad enough in its own right, but is made even worse by the fact that the points that you're making are generally misinformed and stupid. You're make crappy points in a crappy way, and as a result you make this forum a worse place with pretty much every post that you make. I've tried to give you the benefit of the doubt a bunch of times now, and it's pretty clear that you're just not worth it. To the ignore list you go.

You are the only one getting upset here FTW, I am talking to you having a discussion which is back and forth. I am not upset I am reading what you say and taking it into consideration. What more do you want me to tell you, I do not think that Amendola healthy or unhealthy will ever be more than a $3.5 million APY receiver. You disagree with that which is fine, nothing you have said has changed my opinion however, and the fact it has not should not upset you. It is all assumptive and there is not anything tangible to point to that suggests Amendola would have performed any different if he was healthy.

You can ignore me if you would like but you are really overacting to what I perceived to be a friendly debate about a slot receiver. For the record, it is this type of overreactions to discussions, which are questionable to me.

Do you want to be right that bad about Amendola that it angers you when another poster suggests otherwise? I would like you to be right about Amendola to for what it is worth, that would mean the team has a productive player. I am a Patriots fan FTW I have no interest in advocating for players to play poorly, I simply have the capability to acknowledge it when they do. Belichick is little on excuses and big on results, I try and model being a fan that same way, if I was willing to accept Amendola’s poor play due to an injury I would also have to accept Belichick coaching a team that missed the playoffs because of all the injuries, murders and other things that occurred in 2013. Belichick never made excuses he overcame the adversity.

Amendola couldn't cut at all, he couldn't even motion properly. If healthy he is a total stud watch any of his Rams games or the Bills game. He gets open. It doesn't even matter if he is playing on the outside or in the slot he gets open. So your trying to say if a player is injured they should be expected to be at there top level? When a player can cut at all, what should be expected of him? Amendola couldn't even beat LBs his hip was that bad.

Can you show me an example of Amendola being unable to cut?

if Austin Collie can play the slot in new England I don't see way Amendola cant, the slot and 3rd down back are just there to be Brady's security blanket and catch a lot of 5 yard passes. Welker was the first and so far the only star to play that position and put up outside WR numbers,

Gronk is the new star of the offense he just needs to stay on the field the slot WR and 3rd down back just have to be ready to catch the ball on 3rd and 4

I think we should consider keeping Austin Collie if Edelman leaves. It would at least allow adequate depth at the position, if/when Amendola misses a handful of games.

I would also expect a bit more from Collie after an entire offseason of actually knowing the specifics. He didn't look nearly as bad as some have when brought in like that, and he's obviously going to be cheap.

Austin Collie would definitely be cheap insurance at the slot receiver position.
