Pats vs donks

If they're offense is so historic than why is nobody scared of it?

I don't think any player will ever concede that they're scared to play a team.

Denver's passing attack is ridiculous. That worries me. We will be an underdog and need to play a perfect game. Plus most of their fans are just uncool so I hope we win and they have nothing to brag about.

This isn't necessarily a reply to you, so...

All the defensive line has to do is create some pressure on passing plays, and battle the Denver offensive line to a standstill on running plays. That's a formula that will work. More pressure on Manning will be generated by blitzes and stunts.

The key here is quickness - in line play, in press coverage. Make sure everyone is accounted for. Cover Welker every moment after he leaves the LOS, and always, always, always account for every back coming out of the backfield.

I'm not particularly worried about our defensive backfield operating against these guys.

That's on the defensive side of the ball.

At this point in time I'm not overly worried about this offense. And I most assuredly am not concerned about Denver stacking the box!

It'll be an interesting game, but I see the Patriots winning fairly comfortably, along the lines of 31-17, or so.

Since we don't have to worry about PM running and Dennard is somewhat healthy, we can play man-to-man and make the forehead throw into tighter windows than he would like.

that "unstoppable" denver offense everyone is scared about only put up 24points on the lowly chargers...who are ranked i think 27th in the pass?

the pats secondary matches up much better with denver. Everyone is worried about the pats run game because they shut down the chargers run game. but i think you need to trust the guy who just ran for 166yards and 4td's that he's going to get it done. the chargers best RB was on one ankle

if they want to dare us to pass, I saw brady move up and down the field at will against the dolphins throwing to collie, amendola and edelman. it was in the red-zone we stalled because they were reluctant to go to the run.

So after watching the game tonight I'm not overly impressed, the sd defense is not very good, pats have a far superior pass defense. Also the pats have a much better pass rushing attack. They also have the best running game in the nfl of the teams still playin gnome and I saw huge lanes in Denver tonight

Saying that the broncos should win the game, they are clearly much better on offense and healthier. I think the pats can move the ball, pass protection will be light years better than what we saw with sd. But at some point the pats defense will give the game up, I suspect this one.

Altitude, it affects everyone differently, never affected me, and fact is that most people won't see any affects for at least 48-72 hours and at a higher altitude. The teams know this, it is science. O2 on the sideline doesn't do ****, I always laugh at that.

Ultimately I think both denver and the pats will struggle with Seattle's and San Francisco's defense and I personally don't the afc winning the sb

There's less oxygen. You feel it immediately although probably not if you're not exerting yourself. How could oxygen on the sidelines do "nothing" if that is what is lacking at altitude? Mountain climbers take supplemental oxygen. Do you laugh at that too? Yes the altitude is greater but the concept is the same.

That game still has left a bad taste

Definitely the worst other than the SB losses. I wasn't as devastated when we lost to the Ravens twice, or to the Jets in the divisional because we stunk the house out in all of those games. We were owning the Colts on our way to the SB and then the train suddenly derailed. Ughh.

That was really hard to stomach. The second worst loss I have ever experienced as a Pats fan.

Respect from the public.

sports betting and respect don't belong in the same sentence

Brady will have to play better in order to win and i think he can. 7 TD and 9 INTs in AFC champ games. Gotta do better then that ratio next sunday....unless blount runs for 200

I just think we have the perfect personnel to beat the broncos.

1. Dominant rushing game that can keep manning on the sidelines. the broncos might be ranked #7 against the rush. but you have to trust a guy who just ran for 166yards and 4 td's and has been on a tear the past 3 weeks

2. shutdown corner in Talib who you can put on thomas the whole game. and our other corners like dennard play pretty well in press man coverage. Jamie Collins can match up with Julius thomas in coverage

3. HOF QB in brady who if he is asked to by the broncos if they decide to put 8 in the box can move up and down the field.

the game is going to be decided by turnovers IMO and I think manning is due for 1 or 2 against us

I think people disrespecting the Broncos are pretty silly.

They have a very good spread O and have a very good QB at the helm. They showed today that they are capable (doesn't mean they will) of being tighter on the pats run D.

Unfortunately atm Dobson is hurt, KT is hurt and we are down to Edelman Amendola and Collie at WR. If we had any semblence of WR corps healthy i's give us a better than even chance in this game. Unfortunately i think this might be the onw where our injuries have caught up with us.

Can't wait to see if Collins takes Thomas 1 on 1 and Talib takes the other Thomas 1 on 1.

I am just enjoying our season at this point, if brady and BB get us to another SB i will just be beside myself with joy when looking back at what has unfolded this season to date.

SD showed they can move the ball on Denver... now lets hope we can too.

Well, if the AFCCG is officiated like today's game we are going to need to outplay them significantly.

The second Giants SB loss hurt a little but not nearly as much as the first one did. I didn't expect the Pats to beat the Packers or the Bears back in the day so they really didn't really bother me for long.

But yes I'd definitely put that Colts loss second behind the Helmet Catch game. Absolutely brutal. Couldn't sleep after that.

you gotta love it....Manning vs Brady

Total honesty here: I find myself a wee bit bored by the prospect.

It sounds crazy, I know. But a little voice in the back of my head keeps whispering "We bothered playing an entire season just to install Brady and Manning in the AFC Championship game? Which felt inevitable before the season even began?"

Just imagine how non-Pats fans must feel about it.

Tom Brady is 171-for-235 with 1,771 yards, 17 touchdowns and zero interceptions playing against Denver defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio.

^ This

If Brady "sucks" - his words - again, they have zero shot. He needs to bring his A game for a change to an AFC Championship.

Ok now THIS is the most interesting fun fact so far, bravo. :)
