the jest suck so much that they had no hope of a post season, but didn't suck enough to get a very high draft pick. but sucked enough that their coach is on the hot seat and a higher draft choice would be more enticing for an incoming coach.

Maybe they need to keep Rex around one more season and try to go for that top 3 pick...what do you think?

I think it's all up for grabs in typically slipshod, cynically money-grubbing Green Beans fashion. Look for them to make some sort of attention-grabbing headlines in the off-season.

The Patriots are an example of a team that sucks at sucking -- no matter how badly things are stacked against them, they just can't suck. The Green Beans have made it an art form.

There are also so many potential sucky QBs to lead the JEST next year: Schaub, Cutler, Vick, Sanchez, Geno; I wonder who it will be. Are they dumb enough to draft another rookie QB?

On the other hand, nothing would send a more clear message about who the Jets are than to have them send a dozen or so players to the pro bowl. Let them continue to be motivated by the cult of celebrity and individuality that surrounds the NFL and that team. It is the best medicine for keeping them where they are.

I say, send the whole "#1 defense in the NFL" to the Pro Bowl. Let them learn to live for that prize.

Sorry, Tunescribe, but I have to disagree here. The Patriots excel at not sucking. It's an important but critical distinction, as we know that the post-Parcells-era Patriots do not suck.
