I believe it was also RG3's 2nd ACL tear on the knee. Gronk also suffered his injury several weeks earlier, which inherently gives him more time to recover.
I also think that losing off season workouts are more detrimental to a QB entering his 2nd year than to Gronk.
Yes, it was RG3's second ACL tear so that's huge. Also, RG3 may not be 100% but most of his crappy play this year has to do with him just not being part of a good organization and not demonstrating that he can be a decent pocket passer.
