yeah, i got a chuckle out of that myself.

re: Massachusetts prosecutors do their part: Pouncey subpoenaed to testify in AH case

I wonder if this is more for the second murder grand jury (double homicide) or if a new one has joined forces for the gun trafficking investigation?

If it's the latter then Hernandez actually has at least 2 more grand jury's who are hearing evidence that we know of. Judging by the comments of his last leaked letter (the one with the naked lady drawing), it seems that he's finally come to his senses and that he realizes that he'll be serving the next few years at a minimum.

These grand juries are taking much longer than expected...

There must be an awful lot of stuff to sift through...

without the murder weapon I presume they've got to provide a lot more anecdotal or circumstancial evidence.

Needless to say, its going to take several years to finally get a resolution here.

I hope they worked a "plea deal" with him: give us your line calls and you will not be implicated.

It is crazy when you think about the domino affect Lloyd’s murder caused.

His baby mamma is still under duress from the AG since she lied to the police several times. First in claiming she didn't know when AH returned as she was asleep. Home video exposed that lie. Secondly that she "forgot" where she dumped the package she was seen taking out to the SUV the morning after Lloyd's execution that contained what the police believe was the murder weapon.

What leaked letter with the naked lady drawing?

thats just a few of the 29 lies she apparently committed to while on the stand, shes looking at doing more time right now than aaron is on just the weapons charges

Just a coincidence

Not necessarily on the grand jury stand. Lying to the police is a crime. She committed many of the offenses day one.
I say prosecute the hell out of her. She covered up an execution.

They hope to convict Hernandez on gun running charges if the

murder charges fall thru.

She covered up an execution.

If only the Ravens really needed her for the Pittsburgh game, I'm sure the judge would have let her off

I think they are aggressively pursuing any and all crimes committed by Hernandez, his fiancee, his accomplices, and anyone else who broke the law, as opposed to choosing to cover their asses should ONE of the murder charges fall through.

Remember that they've also brought a grand jury to investigate and hear the double murder from July of 2012 also, not to mention a 3rd grand jury for the "newest" gun trafficking charges, which could even turn Federal since it crossed state lines.

In other words, it's not one vs the other...it's "we're going to go after any case of breaking the law," which is the way it should be for all parties involved. At this point in time I don't think the prosecution is too worried about Aaron Hernadez somehow going free anytime soon.

I certainly agree with you in regards to the double murder charge. Of course when you take into account that they've really only been on it for about 10-12 weeks or so, it may not be quite as long as we initially thought. From what I understand, there are some grand jury investigations that can take upwards of 4-6 months, even though they are more rare cases.

Like you said, there are a ton of witnesses, a ton of attempts to cover things up, some questions as to exactly "how" that girl came across the murder weapon in the trunk of her car, and many other important aspects that likely is the cause for the delay. For all we know the holidays may also cause a delay on top of everything else. We may not hear anything until the first/second month of the new year. I think they realize that time is on their side, due to the fact that he won't make bond, and isn't going anywhere.

I don't have the link handy, and I'm not sure if it was specific to Massachusetts or whether it was all encompassing for the U.S. in general, but I believe that it said that the average grand jury investigation is approximately 3 months. Of course there are many that take less time than that, but it also seems that there are some who take more time to balance things out just the same.

The new gun trafficking investigation may also cause a bit of a delay in the outcome of an indictment, although that's just pure speculation of course. Either way, it seems like a complicated matter for sure.

The grand jury has already indicted him and are completely finished regarding the case where they lack the murder weapon, which is of course the Odin Llyod case. The fact that they don't have the weapon is now a trial issue, not a grand jury issue anymore. The grand jury didn't have a problem with the fact that there wasn't a murder weapon, based on their decision to hand down the indictment.

DarrylS is speaking of the TWO other grand juries (that we know of) which are taking place at the moment. One of those is the double murder case from July 2012, which they DO currently have the murder weapon in their hands, along with a plethora of other evidence. The other grand jury is the one which is much more recent. That is the one for which Pouncey was questioned about, and it involves Hernandez and his alleged gun trafficking across state lines.

The prisoner recently had a 3rd letter come to light within the past several days. Amongst the usual "I didn't do it and will be set free," he also shows his true intelligence by drawing a naked woman at the bottom of the paper.

As if that wasn't enough to show us what a total dumbass he is, he includes the caption "Dats (sic) a bad b1tch" next to his Picasso like work of art.

It does seem that he's at least starting to realize that he won't be going anywhere any time soon, as he states that he "hopes that he can at least get out within the next few years" so that he can continue to "ball" again. This tells me that he's at least starting to accept the fact that he won't be going anywhere anytime soon, due to the gun charges that were included in the Odin Llyod indictment in a worst (or best for him) case scenario.

I'd bet there is almost a zero chance there are 29 provable instances of her perjuring herself (or whatever the legal term that is applicable). This is the common prosecutor tactic of casting a wide net, get that person/people into a mountain of legal hell, force then to provide whatever it is prosecutors want (in this case it's pretty obvious what they want from her).
If she knows what the prosecutors want I wish she would just come out with it. AH is fairly and justly deserving of his coming judgment day. However, I don't like what prosecutors sometimes do with their power to pile up charges that many, likely, would be dismissed if/when brought to trial. It's good that people deserving of it get what's coming to them. However, the prosecutor's power to sweep people into a mountain of legal 'hell' is abused. And I think people, at least some, would be shocked to find out just how often it is abused.

Past experience predicts that the Hernandez grand jury indictment on the double murder news will be headlines just as the Patriots are preparing for their Super Bowl appearance.

ESPN, etc. will go full throttle with numerous pundits questioning what is wrong with the Patriots culture that embraced a serial gangsta killa and was there knowledge and a cover up by BB? Stay tuned as this blast from the future comes to pass.
