The Sox are two wins from the World Series. Don't see why it's that crazy to have a thread in here about them, considering that most Pats fans are also Red Sox fans. Some Pats fans are really weirdly anti-Sox, though.

Hell of a performance by Lackey tonight. Breslow, Tazawa and Uehara too. Total domination.

I tried to watch but it was a bit painful

Batter gets up and strikes out, another batter up strikes out, another batter up strikes out, another batter up hits fly ball catch and out. Man gotta go for a walk, this is tiring. Come back, another batter up hit double play 2 outs another batter up strikes out, game over.

Glad they won, I'll only watch during the post season with the Fam and stick to football...

Haha, pretty much. I'm good for maybe a dozen regular season games per year, and I try to attend one or two in person when I'm back in Boston. It's a lot more fun to watch once the postseason starts and the stakes are raised, though. Would never claim to be a diehard Sox fan like with the Patriots.

A win tonight = a very successful road trip ...

However ... the offense needs to find a way ... pitchers alone will be a hrd way to a series victory.

We've won 2 games by virtue of timely home runs ... there needs to be more.

series is tied but Detroit has it up on us in the stats categories ... they have been playing a bit better.

The offense has to do something, anything to get a few runs. Hopefully Lester can bring his A game tonight. I am worried none the less. We have to go through their 1-2-3 in the rotation now. The offense has not shown many signs of life yet.

I don't hate the trade but I would have been happier next year to have Iglesias at short and Xander at 3rd ... use the Drew money elsewhere ... but who knows Peavy may yet be a hero.

Weird stat thrown out there tonight. The Sox have never won a 7 game series after being tied 2-2. Find that hard to believe.

so you would have just benched him? I don't know. I like the trade. you can never have enough pitching. I think they bring him back. he was originally inked to a three year deal.
