Lackey was magnificent today. Isn't it fun to watch October games won on the strength of lights out Boston pitching? Let's hope the trade for Peavy proves to be equally fruitful.

BTW, Uehara's slider is a beautiful piece of nastiness.

Prince Failder is a bum. An absolute bum. Gonna blame this on the divorce too? Hey, at least it's Illitches money and not mine. Five .300 hitters in this lineup and they can't score runs.

He cost us the last two games. We are stuck with him.


Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander could not have been better. And they get nothing out of it.


Bad hitting, Bad Bullpen, Bad Managing. Same **** we've seen all season. Changes have to be made. If they do not get past this round, this season is a complete failure.

They did, but he did tie a record with 7 straight strikeouts. I was never so happy to see a ground ball out. Then when Napoli hit the home run I just laughed knowing that it would be our lights out closer.
