Let me start by saying that the team needs alot of work, no doubt.
But,
I'm going to go opposite of the "Beat it to death douchebag radio absoluters"
and the same on beat it to death douche bag absoluters on television.
There are no absolutes in opinions, frickin morons.
That VICTORY took me back to when the Pats were champions.
1: Dobson was beating defenders all night and that was his first NFL game, on national television, only game in town. He definitely had the jitters and a couple of times his body turned into jello when the ball was coming.
I see a bright future with Aaron Dobson. (Tom, cut him some slack).
2:Thompkins is not long for the starting lineup if he doesn't get open and make catches.
3:Edelman has the Troy Brown role. Slot receiver who can play any receiver position, return man and occasional defensive back.
4:Boyce hasn't had enough opportunities, would like to see more of him, and less of Thompkins.
5:Amendola is injured (sigh), had so much promise. Keep him out until he is 100% healthy. 6 weeks from now would be about right. Groin injuries suck for WR's. His absence will give the rookies a chance to play, which is a good thing. It will give BB a chance to see what he has for receivers.
6:Brady was frustrated. So was I, but I went into the game expecting anything, even a loss. TB needs to keep plugging away and keep mentoring them young WR's. It was nice to see some long throws.
7:Offense performance looked real ugly. Eliminate the drops by open receivers and the PATS could have scored over 30.
8:Gostkowski has to go.... missing 43 yard FG's is unacceptable. Long kickoffs are nice, but I would rather have a reliable FG kicker from 45 yds in.
I'm probably nitpicking but come on, I want a money kicker with gonads of steel.
9id I say Edelman is in the Troy Brown role. They need to extend him for the right money.
10: Defense had a good game even though it was against a rookie QB.
Spikes looked a little off, but I like what I see.
11:Jets defensive line is loaded, defensive backs were getting beat. It's still early but Rex will probably have a top 10 defense again.
12:Jets offense is in the same boat as the PATS, young WR's and 1 TE.
Oline looked good and Geno could be a really good QB. Physically gifted but mentally challenged?
13:Losing Donald Thomas was bigger than losing Welker.
They had their RG and should have ponied up the cash.
Connely (too lazy to look it up), is a better center than guard.
Hopefully Cannon can take that position and dominate.
I know Welker??
I think BB and his staff saw too many playoff drops from Wes, and that is why he is not here.
14:The PATS are 2-0 in the division playing ugly.
Pats offensive lineup after Thanksgiving:
LT: Solder
LG: Mankins
C: Wendell
RG: Cannon
RT: Volmer
TE: Gronkowski
WR: Amendola
WR: Edelman
WR: Dobson/Boyce
RB: Ridley/Vereen
QB: Brady
It's a marathon not a sprint
