Just three more days until this thread is fumigated, locked up, and forgotten.

Dude, he's a troll. Just to spell that out more explicitly, "troll" in this setting doesn't mean "Tebow fan sharing provocative opinions." It means "fake Tebow fan posting in an un-authentic way to get a rise out of you." He's purposely pretending to be a serious poster, nudging up to the line, saying things that sound just close enough to real that people bite and argue with him. His goal is to get you to argue -- i.e. troll.

The word "troll" has gotten tossed around so much that every now and then we need to remember the internet-dictionary definition.

It doesn't seem to matter how many tmes we say this over and over , people still respond to detpatsfan , it's useless, I gave up

Eli went 30-40 and controlled the T.O.P. You and I have two different definitions of "bad". I will say that it wasn't their worst game by any stretch of the imagination... but it still wasn't good.

Naturally. It was mostly by the usual suspects, though, that had argued all year as if New England had an elite defense (citing points allowed) and that no changes needed to be made. Of course when the defense allows the opposing quarterback, who is not even really that good, to go 30-40 and also allows the back breaking final scoring drive when the opposing offense starts from the shadow of their own goal post, I don't think there's any way that you can argue that it was good. But people did. Then came the draft and a lot of changes were made on that side of the ball. That same sect seemed to get pretty quiet around that point in time.

When Eli got the ball back with 3 minutes left was there really any doubt what the end result of that drive would be?

It doesn't speak well of your character that you can be so fickle with where your loyalties lie.

Christ, this is some sanctimonious bull****.

If you're actually trying to draw a parallel between character and whether or not someone is a fairweather/bandwagon fan you need a goddamn reality check.

It's rooting for grown men throwing a football. Sure I'd never change teams but that doesn't make me a higher character person than someone else it just makes me someone who takes sports more seriously or roots for his team with more passion.

That tends to be the general sentiment among his fans: that his integrity is the asset to the team. Goodness knows, he certainly doesn't bring any quarterbacking skills to the table.

I didn't ask what you thought or what things seemed to be, I asked for one example backing up a ridiculous statement.

what a stupid question...of course he hasn't

hahaha.

Amazing how some qbs who don't have a .500 record in the NFL or a playoff win on their resume get overrated meanwhile Tim Tebow who has both isn't even considered an NFL qb by know-nothing haters.

I've been noticing this since Tebow came into the league. Football is the one sport where you can teach a 7 year old things that a grownup can't get. "That guy is not an NFL QB." Why are all those checks coming in to one Mr. Tim Tebow from the Broncos/Jets/Patriots then? Anyone who is paid to play QB in the NFL is a QB in the NFL...wacko theory there. If TT gets cut tomorrow and never plays another down in the NFL, he will still have been an NFL QB for three-plus years while 99% of the fans said "He is not an NFL QB." This is not an internet message board.

Or (left side of mouth) "The NFL is only for the very best, nobody could ever succeed just through intangibles or luck alone." (right side of mouth) "Tebow has no talent to play QB, he is only 9-7 as a starter at QB because of intangibles and luck."

And when you say anything in dissent, you're a gay/holy roller/Tebowite who thinks Timmy is the bestest QB in history & your girlfriend beats you up all the time. That, my friends, is called a "false dilemma" and is a well-known logical fallacy. You're either a straightedge like me or you're a raving alcoholic crack addict.

The other main factor is that NFL fans just don't think rushing or option-read yards count for a QB. Never have, never will. 7 year old Johnny understands that 1 yard = 1 yard, but 47 year old Fatty McGamblerpuffs doesn't. The sad thing is, ask an O-lineman and he'll tell you that rushing yards are MORE valuable than passing yards, b/c they enable the line to get downhill.

Way to smack down these pathetic homers!!! Brandi and I and my 10 other MB logins agree!...your pal in Jeezus always..Markus..

I'm thinking you're a troll.... Either way that post had a dumbs ass factor of defcon 5. Rushing the ball isn't as valuable as passing the ball that's the reason and try to understand this ... That QB's make WAY MORE MONEY than RB! How did those Vikings do with their 2k rusher?

Answer me this if you could have Peterson or Brady who you taking? Peterson or either manning? Rodgers, Bree's, Wilson, rg3, Kaepernick? Yep u guessed it the QB every time. So grandpa 3 yards and a cloud of dust it's to e to realize RB are going the way of the dodo.

8. Kneel and pray in a stadium filled with 50,000 people a dozen can eras then act as if its a surprise anyone notices.

LOL@ Fatty McGamblerpuffs...

Rushing the ball isn't as valuable as passing the ball
Only six points if you run into the end zone. If you throw into the end zone, you get...six points.

Someone should lock this thread. Mods are you out there?

Only 50k? Ohh that's right, you must not be talking about the Swamp.

Here is RG3 praying and kneeling at Baylor (he did it all the time and he does it with Redskins) . Its only a problem if Tebow does it I guess . In fact NFL players pray ALL THE TIME with cameras on them

let me ask you something , if you are a Sudfeld fan first and foremost (to the point where you are wondering if you should even watch a Patriots game if Sudfeld does not play in it) , why do you already have animosity built up for a fan of Tebow?
