Sounds made up. Gronk is going to PUP. Too important to risk him. Hope I'm right for the sake of his safety.
ESPN's Ed Werder stated on NFL Insiders Wednesday that Rob Gronkowski (back surgery) "still seems to be a ways away yet."
Werder didn't get specific about timelines, but said Gronk is still working on core strength and conditioning, indicating he remains in rehab mode. The Patriots' regular season opener is over three weeks away, giving Gronk time to take a significant step forward ahead of Week 1. The Patriots haven't let much info leak about Gronkowski's recovery, to this point. This is just his third Rotoworld blurb since Gronk's July 23 placement on active/PUP. Aug 14 - 3:49 PM

I thought today was strictly film review by the New England Patriots coaching staff?
when he's ready, he's ready. If he doesn't need to miss 6 games, he has no business on the PUP.
Good thing they have good doctors.Agreed... On the flip side, if he's not ready, he's got no business on the field.
I think that the title and OP well intended post is bogus
The thread should be deleted
Patsfans should not be a source of misinformation

PUP has nothing to do with any of this. Its tiresome to read.
With the way the offense has looked this pre-season, and granted it is just pre-season, but I would rather Gronk start the season on PUP.
This would ensure enough time for him to fully recover and force Brady to develop the new receivers more than if Gronk was on the field.
All I am saying was I heard it on BSPN.....just wanted some feedback.
Relax guys, no need to crucify me just yet....

There is nothing bogus about it. I heard it whe watching ESPN, just wanted to know if there is any truth to it.
This board is not only for news....there are news outlets for that!
No one's meaning to crucify you my brother.
The problem with in season PUP is that he cannot practice, meaning that he wouldn't even be practicing for almost 3 more months? Do you really find that to be reasonable? Personally, I do not
Keep in mind that we have a 10 day mini-bye after the 2nd game at NY on Thursday night. This could point to Gronk missing the first 2 games and then returning to action in about 6 weeks at the end of Septemeber for the #3rd game.
What exactly did they say?
It is true that Gronk has been at just about every practice - watching as a spectator in a t-shirt and shorts.
So technically I suppose you could say he returned to practice ... as did about 8,000 fans and dozens of writers.
