I'm not saying he's the future but if brady went down he'd no doubt be a better solution than anyone floating around out there imo.

There's no doubt whatsoever that he'd be much better than anyone else simply due to his knowledge and background in the system alone.

Really Brian Hoyer from CLE would be the only other realistic option even available in my opinion. No one is going to "step in" and immediately learn the playbook and nuances of our complex scheme.

Mallett is miles better than Tebow?

After looking awkward and uncomfortable for the first 1-2 series, Mallett settled into playing football. IMO, over the next few series he looked more like an NFL quarterback than any previous Brady backup has.

I don't think there's any doubt he makes this team. Belichick already knew he couldn't throw for crap. Why install an entire package for him and waste all of that time if you're just going to cut him a couple of months later?
