No, it is bigotry.

As for defending Tebow with facts, what facts do I need? I'm saying let's wait and see what happens. That approach doesn't need facts, just patience.

So what you are saying is I'm a bigot because I think evolution is real?

Or im a bigot because i think tebow is terrible,

Or am i a bigot because the south is pretty notorious to favor intelligent design over evolution?

Help me out here, you seem to want to toss out a large claim like calling someone a bigot, please define your reasoning.

Yep - I am glad that you think you know how Bill Belichick the front office guy works.

You should ask the others who have been Patriots fans a lot longer than you when it comes to what Belichick says about individual players in comparison to the decisions that he makes when it comes to roster formation.

Also, if you think that BB is going to make a negative remark about any of the members of the 90-man roster to someone at WEEI, then this just another point of you not knowing how BB operates.

What I know is that BB rarely talks negatively about any individual player. He'll couch his answer in terms of a group. For example, if some specific player has a bad day and Bill is asked about it, he'll say "It's day 4 of practice, everybody is working to try and improve". Reading between the lines, the rough translation is "yeah, he had a bad day." Even then, Bill is correctly pointing out that it's early in practice.

He was asked if Tebow had improved significantly. He answered the question directly in saying "absolutely".

This of course doesn't guarantee anything as the next question would be whether he's improved enough to remain on the roster. That said, it's a positive statement from Bill. Had he immediately switched to a "group" type reply, there would be some concern.

he said Tebow was on the team, just like 30+ other players, all of whom going to be cut.

Ill take that wager that 30+ players are going to be cut. what are you putting up?

the wager is whether or not Tebow will be on the final roster.

once again, its not bigotry, the south is notorious for preaching intelligent design in schools, and that evolution is a myth.

Its a very apt analogy to the "patriot fans" that cant seem to grasp why a large majority of people pointing out a seemingly insurmountable amount of flaws, and not a single one of you seems capable of defending him with any real facts.

You're making it sound as if it's all of the south though. You are grouping us all in with people that can't grasp evolution, or don't want to. I won't argue that it's a problem, but don't throw out blanket statements.

I hate to break it to you but he switched to the group type reply twice on two separate occasions. Not my fault that it has not been recognized by yourself.

I don't know about the others but I know when BB the front office guys switches over from the individual to the group (which is many cases is a focus on the entire team). And this all comes from experience in observing BB's comments and what he says.

Apparently - we understand this a lot more than you since we have been fans of this team for decades and have been following BB the front office guy since he has been in the position that he has been in.

Bwahahahahahha.

Sorry, just had to laugh at this one

No, you're a bigot because you're judging every one in the south together as a group rather than as individuals. It's like me saying "all black people are drug dealers" or "all muslims are terrorists" or "all Germans are Nazis".

I have clients and family in the south and in rural regions of this country. You really don't want me to repeat what some of their views are.

it would take to long to list out the schools individually.

Demos - I hate to break this to you but after working in the Boston sports media and being a journalist for 10 + years, I have the experience and the knowledge base of knowing when BB, as subtle as he can be when he changes interview style, changes from individualized conversation to group conversation.

Keep up the insults. They are not working.

The key here is that he switched to more of a group reply after initially saying "absolutely" in response to the question. I don't think it was a mistake.

Again, it doesn't mean that Tebow has improved enough. That's a separate question that remains unanswered at this point.

No, it's fact, with respect to Florida anyway, and the complaints about the creationism quip someone made a few pages back. I live there & I have had to argue with my kids' science teachers about their stupidity.

See this interactive map of schools in the USA teaching creationism and accepting public vouchers.

Florida is #1 by a mile, though Indiana and Ohio deserve mention as northern state that give Georgia, Alabama, and Louisiana a run for their money as runners-up in the "teaching crap as science" department

thats not bigot means, the word you were looking for is stereotyping

So you know a handful of people in the south and that means you know how all of them think? Their are crazies and outlandish beliefs all over this country..

That isn't fact. That's a map of some schools teaching creationism allegedly. Hardly "The South".

And to be frank, people can teach what they like so long as there's genuine choice.

Handful of people? There are cohorts of individuals that hold outlandish beliefs.

Cohorts of individuals represent a segment of population that hold outlandish beliefs.

The same cohorts of individuals also nominate and elect state and federal representatives to office because they are consistent with the cohorts belief system.

belichick, I haven't even begun to get started with really insulting you. To date, it's been kept to rather harmless banter and subtle jabs while trying to remain within the confines of the rules here as Ian asked me to.

BTW, you've been in the Boston sports media business for 10 years and you didn't know that Eli had a sub 50% comp% the first year he started ?

You also didn't know that Eli took over as the starter part way through the season his first year ?

Is that part of your "experience and knowledge base"?

Happens everywhere, not just the south.

Do your kids go to private school?

Do your kids go to private school?

Nope. But that doesn't stop teachers from throwing crap out there, as long as the principal is OK with it and parents do not complain.
