Why did this team sign Tebow?

All I'm interested in is being intrigued as to why BB signed Tebow and what role he might serve on our team. I'm supporting a Patriot player, signed by a Patriot HC and I seem to be in a minority and I'm absolutely gobsmacked that that is the case.

It is probably because he sucks as a QB that most people don't want them wasting time on him and would rather see him cut.

No, I pointed out that you can't judge a player purely on a one year passing rating based on the start of a QBs career. I also pointed out that Tebow is a 3rd string QB.

As for Belichick i really don't think I will have an opportunity to ask him why he is wasting his and the team's time on Tim Tebow, personally I think they have too much change on offense this season to be wasting any time, let alone the amount they are apparently wasting on Tebow. And although i tend to be an optimistic fan in the general sense I can say that imo if something really bad happens to both Brady and Mallett then their season is over unless they find a QB on the open market.

This is one of those rare moments when i am simply shaking my head not understanding why on earth Belichick is doing something inexplicable. Tebow is a horrible QB.

I know you didn't which is why I wrote "others". I don't have an issue with people thinking Tebow should be cut. I have a problem with prejudice, bad arguments, insults. close-mindedness and all the other crap that infests the anti-Tebow lobby.

My only problem with Tebow is that i think he is a terrible QB for the Patriots offense, and I don't want them spending time developing an offense just for him because he cannot play in the one they run. It doesn't matter to me who it is in this regard, if they can't run this offense then i don't think they should be on the team as a QB. I don't have anything against him personally and would wish him well if he found a role as a QB for another team.

Yep - I am glad that you think you know how Bill Belichick the front office guy works.

You should ask the others who have been Patriots fans a lot longer than you when it comes to what Belichick says about individual players in comparison to the decisions that he makes when it comes to roster formation.

Also, if you think that BB is going to make a negative remark about any of the members of the 90-man roster to someone at WEEI, then this just another point of you not knowing how BB operates.

Easy--because people can't admit their mistakes. McDaniels can't accept having one of the bullet points on his resume as having made the idiotic move to draft a guy who can't throw with a first round pick, and so he 'rehabilitates' his pet to prove he was a genius all along.
