Agreed - and the same can be said with the NFL. Unless he has been charged with a criminal act punishable with jail time, Goddell cannot do anything as well.

As far as the NFL and the NFLPA is concerned, conduct detrimental to the league cannot be based on rumor and cannot be based on the suspicion that he is going to be charged with a crime.

It appears that while the obstruction warrant has been prepared, it has not been served or mailed to Hernandez and until that happens then Hernandez should be and will be allowed to work.

Until a warrant is actually served to him, there is nothing that the Patriots or the NFL can do.

Another thing - the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the MSP can take as long as they want on this. They are much more concerned about the murder of Mr. Lloyd than anything else and that includes any purported obstruction of justice event that may have inhibited their investigation.

I just looked up what the unsolved murder data is in the USA. Surprisingly about 40% of murders in this country each year go unsolved. I did not think it would be that high of a percentage.

In my opinion, the longer this goes on without an arrest, the better it is for Hernandez. I would love nothing more than for him to be not guilty of this tragic event. Can you imagine how pissed the Patriot haters would be (i.e. Florio Borges, Felger, Mazz, Silver) if he is never arrested for anything at all and is in the line up week 1 at Buffalo? I know that is very unlikely but......

I know what you are getting at but we really want him to not even be "charged" much less even suspected of anything. Either one could be tragic. If he were to be charged and go to court and beat it (not guilty) I still think his career would be in trouble.

I dont know, whenever I have seen him interviewed he seemed laid back. Which again means nada. For me the easiest thing to do would be to dump all the kids he grew up with, and move on to a "better class " of people. I wouldnt and havent. He has a lot to lose by being with them, well thats what he chooses, I am sure he has wayed the consequences. His life.

Actually if we want to get technical it has been fours days. It was first reported Friday morning and now Monday is considered over as the courts have closed. So unless they actually got one sometime today or they go to a judge's house it has been four days.

Actually Edes was actually arrested and accused of a crime that had very negative public perception. Neither has happened to AH so far.

I'm sure that Aaron's attys are working with the DA to keep it that way with no arrest, period, not even for obstruction never mind murder itself. Depends on what the cops find and how sure a DA, a political animal, is of a conviction or plea bargain in a high media profile case.

Key phrase. JE's "crime" was the kind that gets the media in a frenzy and riles up a large section of the masses. Something that captures the public's knee jerk rage is as good as gold to those that need an outlet for the rage and their need to exact immediate "justice".

I flipped it on Sports Sunday on CSNNE last night and felger, shaughnessy and ryan were on there and I guess in their three minds he 100 percent shot that guy in Florida, even though there is literally zero evidence that he did it other than some felon saying he did.

So I guess to the sports media that means he does have a criminal history

Only ONE question remains -- do we BURN him or HANG him? Sure he hasn't officially been charged with anything, or even arrested. But everyone knows that he is GUILTY of SOMETHING! And nothing makes folks feel better about themselves like a good hanging! So when and where do I show up with my pitchforks? Wooo!!

Oh come on, the fire would create pixelating on the TV screen and disrupt the hi def quality. And hanging? That is too quick. We need something that can fill at least 20 minutes of actual dying. I think the Spanish Inquisition or the Roman Empire can provide a great list of ways that will probably be more hi def TV friendly and sate the pitchforked masses. For instance, as AH is an athletic guy, he'd be able to dodge the lions for at least 20 minutes before they tore him limb from limb. And they could name the lions with something the public can really take a liking to, something like Hansel and Gretel. Maybe give the stats on when they last ate/how hungry they must be, what their 40 yard time is. The possibilities to not only sate the pitchforked masses but really roll out the red carpet for 'em abounds!

We dont want him implicated. Although I do want to see justice if they ever do figure it out and if that means AH was the trigger man, he can have the chair.
