This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

cruel, Guns..extremely cruel...and yes, we deserve it.

How can the Jets suck when we just signed the biggest sucker of all air and media on the planet to a contract.

ahhhh...thanks D.I.

I feel MUCH MUCH better now...

There's always the Tebow-is-actually-biting-the-bullet-and-playing-other-positions theory, to make everybody go "you got him to do what???"

::shrug:: or it's just to rattle Rex's cage. He gets to stick around until proven useless in a new environment... other teams get to reconsider.

Hold yer horses, J. We have yet to see what Tebow can do on a PROFESSIONAL football team. I'm not at all concerned about a potential circus -- BB will take care of that. Besides, Ringmaster Wrecks is an impossible act to follow.

first game...the D racks up 8 sacks...Brady throws for 5 TD's and 500 yards...Rideley runs for 200...game ends and the camera switches to the field where Tim Tebow is being interviewed on field by the entire assembled media,,,uniform spotless...every hair in place...black undereye paint with white "Jesus" and "Saves" displayed prominently for the cameras...

"so, Tim, how do you think you did for your first game as a New England Patriot?..."

"well first let me thank my Lord and Savior, ************ , for providing me the opportunity to lead my team to victory...

"well, Tim, when did you first know that victory was in your grasp?...."

"I just believe and have faith that my Lord and Savior, ************, will show the rest of my teammates the way..."

"well, thank you Tim...and great game today!!!!..it's great to have you back doing what you do...just winning...

wonder if I can corner the market on barf bags....?

I know it's hard, people. After all the chunks of Jets suckage that have to be reversed somehow through some sort of Jedi mind tricks and all... Well, we'll see how Tebow fits in. I'm thinking, mainly he fits in on the bench.

Be all that as it may, it's our responsibility, nay, our obligation, to keep the hate alive.

Fear not - the good people at JEST mini-camp are happy to oblige.

New York Jets lean heavily on Wildcat in minicamp - NFL.com

It appears that the moment Tebow leaves, they're off and running trying to turn Geno Smith into a wildcat QB.

Okay, bringing Tebow here's a head-scratcher. The JEST are well over the line into knee-slapper. Again

Did you ever once listen to a Carter post game interview?

And you two are hating on the JEST how???

Focus people!

And a little bit more jester suckitude:

Rex Ryan of New York Jets fed up by receiver drops in practice - ESPN New York

Jets brain trust exploring options to save cap space and roster space by cutting ALL THEIR WRs. :singing:

rex ryan on wrs catching the football....
"That's your job, and certainly we know we have to do a better job, but I expect it to happen immediately and it never happened yesterday, either," Ryan said. "We'll have to try to fix that one way or the other.

as a bonus the accompanying bspn video gets even better when they talk about Sanchez 'winning the qb battle' and 'looking real good in 7 on 7 & OTAs'. ...yuck yuck yuck.

Wrecks shoulda kept Tebow...then he could blame it all on his erratic arm...I wonder if it ever crossed Fat Turd Ryan's plate of ribs that perhaps his WR's are dropping passes because they HATE Buttfumblechez?

nah...that would be too obvious..

With all due respect (and I MEAN that word, you're one of my favorite posters to read usually) you are all wet here and OUT OF PLACE, take a breath and put it back in the tebow thread if you must.

As far as being all wet; I dont want to divert the thread from its purpose, but I can't let blatant falsehoods stand (even if I would never use my religious beliefs in a press statement). SO PLEASE... dont reply to excess here - take it back to the tebow thread if you need to.

Tebow may have technical issues w/ being a qb and may be a christian; but this type of criticism is over the top and overwrought. 2 REAL WORLD SAMPLES.

AS a STARTING-WINNING QB:
Transcript of Tim Tebow's post-game press conference - The Denver Post

19 Questions and 1 opening statement: 2 mentions of god (the first being prefunctory and the 2nd referring to a lucky break), for a total of some 12-15 words out of 1758 he spoke.

AS a BACKUP QB on WINNING Team:
Tim Tebow Jets-Bills Post-Game Quotes, 09.09 - SB Nation New York

No references to God, and in fact he only used the word "I" 8 times (7 times "I think", once "I feel") and used the word "we" 10 times including every time talking about the team and a positive performance.

That is real world - and does not compare any more excessively religous than guys like Reggie White or Chris Carter and certainly less egotistical & self centered than ALL the WRs and half the QBs in the league.

This is amazing. Rather than give the kid something he's familiar with, to improve his odds and rate of success, they are installing an offensive system that he, and the entire team, needs to learn. And one that has shown limited success in the league. All to accommodate an assistant coach?

I don't trust my judgement because of the bias but it does appear that they are headed for a 2-14 year. I hope not; we need them at 7-9 to keep Rex around, year after year.

Honeymoon won’t last for Idzik - NYPOST.com

The NY Post is priceless - the opening paragraph compares new Jets GM John Izadik to Punxatawney Phil. Then it gives him three years to turn around the Jets like UNC grad Donnie Walsh turned around the Knicks.

"Everyone knows he did not inherit the dynasty Steelers. He took over a 6-10 team with salary cap issues and he tore down the roster. During this spring, the Jets offense has looked as bad, if not worse, than last year’s group. When asked if he believes the team is currently better than the one he took over, Idzik dodged the question, likely knowing that he is taking one step back in hopes of taking two forward."

At least we can be secure in the knowledge will suck this year.

If this keeps up he'll have to threaten them all with a "Goddam snack!"

It'll be Gruden/Bridgewater before we know it, gotta enjoy this last years of JEST hurrah.

They should throw the WRs cheeseburgers instead of footballs. I'm sure receptions would improve.
