I think the "precious football team" would probably like it if you and the minions would leave them alone. If you have to begrudge a player for living because you are so afraid it will affect their performance and in essence ruin your experience as a fan you should re-evaluate your life or lack of one.

You understand the difference between reading about and commenting on a football team and its moves and just finding the negativity in everything.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I honestly don't think Gronk is really so stupid that he jeopardizes his career and health, and all of his antics are pretty meaningless with regard to his playing career. No one's calling him a genius, but I think he knows what to do when he has to suit up.

There are plenty of professional athletes who ruin their careers with legal problems, but I don't think anyone has done that because of being "stupid." And if in the end this is actually true and he really did piss away his career, then we can all condemn him.

Who fucxxing cares! So 2 loaded 20 something pro athletes want to go to Vegas before OTAs. They both know that once OTAs begin its over. No Fun, no anything until (hopefully) February or at least January. That is 8 months of drill Seargent BB.

Are they sumo wrestling? Why do people piss and moan that these guys want to have a last hurrah before going back to work? Nobody knows the extent of the injuries. Nobody knows if they are gonna fighth with MMA guys or sit around and play poker.

They are gonna go out and do what any of us would do. Eat and drink and gamble and party and get laid. So what. Its not like they are going to sit home and do nothing anyway. Think of it this way its probably 10-11 hours on a plane where they wont move. That keeps them out of harms way for at least that long.

Some of you are so caught up in your miserable internet existence that you are begrudging people living their lives. Its like if 87 and 11 are not home eating protein and working out 24/7 then your precious football team (which is seems some of you revolve your whole lives around) might not do as well as it could.

I almost wish this team went 500 one year so that some of you would shoot yourselves. In 7 years, I have never read such juvenile and pathetic crap.

Keep rooting for a team which plays in a sport/league which is comparable nationally to lacrosse or soccer.

Why? You cant be a pats fan and also not worry about two adult athletes going on vacation. I dont really see the connection but then again I suppose only an adult could relate to another adults actions, which explains the great disconnect here.

Also, why would I want to root for sports I am not interested in. Maybe you shouldnt read up on the daily lives of these pro athletes if you cant stand to hear that they are not spending 100% of their time trying to win you a Superbowl.

And anyway, I'd think that alcohol in the blood stream, with its thinning effect, wouldn't be the best thing for that guy's cellular level healing abilities.

That says more about the Patriots than it does Gronk. In '08 Brady went down for the year and they only missed out on the playoffs because of a tie breaker and they had a guy who hadn't started since he was in high school as their QB and is now the backup to Christian Ponder.

Can't have a team where their #1 TE goes down and that's the difference between potentially winning two Super Bowls and losing the SB one year and the AFC championship the next.

Had the Pats had a true outside receiving threat both years, Brady may have had a ring for everyone of this throwing hand's fingers right now.

Go ahead. I look at a defense that allowed 13 points prior to the offense crapping the bed and an offense that scored only 17 points against a mediocre defense and see things differently. Hell, they wouldn't have even been in the SB had the defense not stepped up in a big way two weeks prior.

Not sure why you think that a healthy Gronk wouldn't have made a difference in a game that NE lost in the final minutes. I'll grant you that the AFCCG loss to the Ravens was more of a total team meltdown, though, again, the offense was by far the biggest reason why Baltimore was even in the game in the second half. The D held a good offense to one successful drive and set up Brady and co. countless times with great field position. If the offense even played a marginal game, they would have been in command 20-7. The second half wasn't their finest hour, though losing Love and Talib didn't help things.

All told, the offense is at least as culpable for all the playoff losses going back to 2007, and arguing that missing an elite player didn't make a difference in nonsensical.

The offense made it to the red zone 6 times.

Gronk on the field for those 6 trips and it's a completely different ballgame.

The reality is if Gronk is healthy, the last two years are rather easy Lombardi's.

No healthy Gronk and the margin of error is much smaller.

You are simply never better if you don't have your best player.

If I recall correctly Talib went down in the first quarter after playing 6 plays (we had 2 3 and outs). The defense was fine until the second half. I'd say it is pretty stupid to act like Talib going down is what gave the Ravens an opening and not exactly sure how a defensive player going down changes offensive efficiency once the offense enters the red zone.

I think it is stupid to act like Gronk equals guaranteed Super Bowls, having an outside receiver is crucial to having a more diversified attack and one less dependent on any one player.

Hopefully, Gronkowski isn't destined to be one more highly talented guy whose career was limited or cut short by injuries. But, for now, I just want him to get well so he can either be a productive player or at least have a decent quality of life post football.

Beyond that, we're all just blowing it out our butts if we claim to know what any of this really means.
