A 5' 8" bow legged cretinous dwarf who's now too old to play?
Oh, different Canty. My bad!

Please don't remind me. Terrence Wheatley, Darius Butler, and Brandon Meriwhether helped me forget about him.

Have tanya harding give his knee a once-over :p

Good, so I'm not the only one who can't ever forget about that guy

At Smithfield where you could get right up next to players Canty was not near my 5' 9" lofty height. Skinny bow legs, no calfs, narrow shoulders, big head. Standing next to super ripped young 5' 11" Ty Law he looked SO out of place. At times I wonder WHAT pro scouts are thinking.

I remember distinctly buying a magazine with a draft preview that was touting Sam Madison and didn't mention Canty that i can recall.

I thought, well they're pros, they know more than some magazine, i guess. Didn't realize then that Grier didn't have clue 1.

Whatever happened to that Madison guy, who lasted another full half round. 12 years, multiple pro bowls.

All these years later, he's the first person I think of when I hear the name Chris. Damn you Bobby Grier :bricks:

I know he's a Dwarf, but he can cover...Can't he??

Canty???

***

No.

No, he can not.

Note to Bobby Grier:

If you're going to try to outsmart yourself, it's generally advisable not to be a dumb @$$.

Like any of the other potential vet signings, money is going to come heavily into play of course.

If the money can be right, then yes--I'd take a flier on C.Canty on the DL.

If he's healthy, it would be a great idea to sign him.

I heard the Giants might be parting ways with Corey Webster. I can see that as a realistic addition.

Webster's pretty terrible. If anything, coming here and getting lit up like a modern day Duane Starks would just drive home how much the Giants rely on their pass rush to cover for their below-average-on-its-best-day secondary.
