Wild Card Weekend: Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans

As this game goes on, I find myself rooting for Houston. Cinci has no shot to beat the Broncos, and I would prefer Houston at this point to either Indy or Baltimore. Both of those teams are playing under emotional circumstances and whichever wins tomorrow will be fired up for their next game. Houston could beat us, but they are known quantity.

I agree...Manning would eat them alive...

Texans are not a bad team like they looked in foxboro so a rematch with them has me bit worried. First 2 TDs we had help from illegal contact penalties and 2nd and 3rd Q they really shut us down by taking the middle of the field out until brady hit stallworth. Rematches are always hard and the whole pressue is going to be on us to win.
As for this game, unless cincy stops houston's running game , they are going to lose.

Understood, but you have to look at the alternative. The Balt/Indy winner will be flying high. We want that team playing the Broncos to keep the possibility of HFA in order. If we can't beat Houston again, we aren't good enough to win the SB.

Take those two touchdowns away and the Pats still won 28-7

You still wanna trade Gresham for Hernandez in a hummingbird heartbeat deus?

I disagree. I look forward to a rematch with the Texans. The Texans can't score TDs on offense. Haven't been able to for over a month. The Pats can trade TDs for FGs all day with the Texans,

Also, you are wrong about the first two TDs. There was no penalty on the second TD drive (a 6 play 82 yard TD drive) and on the first drive, there was a holding call on third and 6, but it was an 8 play 66 yard TD drive).

And as for them shutting down the Pats in the second and third quarter, the Pats scored a TD in each of those quarters. That isn't exactly shutting down the Pats.

That's been my argument.

I still say, Dalton > Schaub. He's animated, smiling and having fun out there.

so...9 points makes you believe the Pats are in trouble with Houston???

Huh???

run into some good STP or what?

"if we can't beat Houston we are not good enough to go to the Super Bowl"....OK, this brilliance has shown me that I need to eschew this thread the rest of the game.

Gresham isn't a very good tight end.

CIncinnati has -6 yards passing so far against Houston's porous secondary. Not impressive.

Looking at everything, I think I am going for the Texans to win this and Ravens to win the next- sending the Ravens to Denver and Texans to us. Looks like we are going to have to face either Denver or the Texans at some point because this Bengals team is not going to beat the Broncos. Between Broncos and Texans, I would rather face the Texans again. Maybe the Ravens can take care of the Broncos.

If he could pass for some positive yardage but look sour-faced, it might work out better. He should take lessons from Manning.

Are you kidding me, nine points make me salivate at the prospects of the Texans. The Texans can't close the deal. They should be up 21-0 right now.

Yeah, no disrespect to SVN, but he/she is really rewriting history on that one. That was an lopsided affair no matter how you want to spin it.

seems cinny is playin' them soft....but Texans are lettin" them hang around

The problem with Dalton is he is very Jeckyl and Hyde. He has been mostly Hyde today.

despite the Bengals totally crapping the bed on offense, the Texans have managed to score an amazing 9points and only lead by 2.

The Pats would trade FG's for TD's any time....schaub looks horrible on 3rd and long.
