The 2013 Prospect Thread

Another small school guy, watching the D-II championship game now and Valdosta State WR Seantavious Jones has been thrown in a CB for the final 2 minutes of the first half and actually has a pretty good jam at the line too, it looked like they put him on the #1 WR of Winston-Salem too.

6'4" 193lbs jr...late round/undrafted target maybe? Has the versatility BB obviously likes and good size.

He even sounds a bit like a Patriot with some of these answers!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sz6UAf_n4Ec

Bit of further research on him, he had 4 receptions for 122 yards and a TD in the semi final game against MSU-Mankato too.

and for the season: http://www.cfbreference.com/teams/valdosta-state/2012/players/seantavious-jones/1/WR/

Oregon senior G Kyle Long has reportedly been denied an extra year of eligibility by the NCAA, according to beat writer Rob Moseley.
This may seem like small news, but those around the NFL have touted Long all year for his ability to pick up the position in a short amount of time. Long took a unique path to Oregon, starting as a baseball player at Florida State then running into academic and off field issues at a junior college. However, as a starter, Long flashed excellent ability, but NFL teams will need to weigh how early they can take an inexperienced player with upside during April's draft.

So late 2nd-3rd rounder. May be a little high but Tavon Wilson showed that BB is willing to take players early.

players with experience. Long didnt play football until it was the last resort. Doesnt sound like the typical pats pick, but the bloodlines will help.

I will kill anyone who says the word "Pouncey".

You will try, STAIN.

And you will FAIL.

I would LOVE for you to attempt that on ME.

For you will DIE.

POUNCEY.

The Marquis.

Warford is a damn good guard. The biggest question to my mind is whether he's more of a "road grader" than what the Pats usually want at guard.

Indeed!!

I LOVE Warford...much's I love WISCONSIN.

But I don't want BALLAST on our O Line. :nono:

I ~ and this's just me ~ want GRIZZLIES.

Because GRIZZLIES...can RUN.

Kasa is up to #465 on NFL DraftScout's latest rankings. Thats a climp of over 500 spots, so he's a "fast riser".

Love those late round freakishly athletic TE prospects. Yum. Kelce or Kasa. Kasa or Kelce.

Or, in the words of OTG, WHY NOT BOTH?

PREACH it, Brother Mayo!! :rocker:

The Possibilities...would be...GALACTIC.

Ted Larsen says hi, as does Steve Neal.

Larsen, whilst being a football player, was new to the C position having played DT for most of his young life. The Pats had no qualms going up and getting him.

As for Neal, well he needs no introduction. Never played a snap in College, he was a wrestler - yet ended up as one of the best G's of his generation.

There are others - Steve Maneri for one, who we tried to turn into an OT from TE.

Never say never friend, the only thing predictable about the Pats is their unpredictability, and that they value intelligence above almost everything else.

does anybody posted it before, that cj mosley plans to return for a senior season?

I am not sure if this is the right decision for him. Next season the Tide defense will decline and perhaps his draft stock will fall...

Another note: Cody Hoffman looks like the next Miles Austin

I've finally got more film on him. David Quessenberry is the most underrated offensive lineman I have ever seen. His play is too perfect to be ignored

With all due respect, Mackenzie....

It made it to my monitor. Mackenzie also writes for a website which quite a few people go to.

I'm just saying that he can block anyone. When Ezekiel Ansah was on his side, Quessenberry absolutely destroyed him. He absolutely destroyed everybody he blocked, except for Kyle Van Noy on one play at the 6:29 second mark in the first quarter. But he couldn't have played any better. I think he's a late first round pick based on production alone.

What would his stock be right now?

I wouuld guess 6th maybe 5th at most . He wasn't even all conference in what is considered a weak conference....well actually I checked again and he is first team on at least some.

Bussey-bust was first team all big east and busted for us. So I don't think that means he's automatic. NFL draft scout has him pretty low.

They all do have him low. I think he will be a fourth rounder, but I believe he is worthy of a late first to early second. Just a spectacular pass blocker

This is what I love about the bowl season. The ability for anyone to go onto the big stage and prove to the world I belong. You Combine the achievers to the shattered dreams,to the combine and then to actual draft day and you have reality tv at its finest and I eat it up like my wife eats up new jersey house wives I guess.

Just to be clear: what I meant was "Let's hope this guy stays under the radar."

For those interested, video of Dexter McCoil, Safety out of Tulsa. As discovered by Mackenzie and Merrill:

Dexter McCoil vs Arkansas (2012) - YouTube

I'm impressed. Nice range in coverage and pretty good angles in the run game. Very good value for later in the draft.
